- The Föhn was quite strong that day so we where not sure whether we could even start or not. But the forecast showed southern winds and excellent thermals all over the southern german flatlands so the evening before the flight we made the plan to give it a go.
Was also my first launch from Brauneck and well, it worked out quite well. Sadly I've lost my flight buddies during the flight so I had to fight alone. Turned out to be both my longest flatland flight, furthest flight in general and also the longest flight without a pee tube, drinks or food - because I'm an idiot.
Worth it though.

Congratulations, nice flight! Did you use a power bank for the camera? I also have an X4 and I'm having problems connecting it to my phone and exporting videos. Did you experience any similar problems with your X4, or are you editing videos on a PC?
Yeah, battery is better than the previous generations but for such a long flight a power bank is a must. I used a quite small one, mounted on the helmet behind the X4 and unfortunately it wasn't big enough fror this specific flight.
Works fine for me, both on mobile and PC.

Bei 3:23 hast du den Mut ins blaue zu fliegen. Glückwunsch das diese Linie funktioniert hat. An Tagen mit Cumuli sind die blauen Areale häufig weniger gut /abwindig 😂
Hatte nicht viel Wahl - die Lufträume haben die Route quasi vordefiniert 😅
Oft kommts mir aber so vor, als wäre das mit dem blauen gar nicht so das Problem - schon fast im Gegenteil: Wenns wo blau ist, wird recht bald ja irgendwo ein Bart hochgehen und dann auskondensieren. Is ne steile These, aber irgendwie gehts 😅
Während die Flugschule nicht starten kann also nebenan 226km fliegen... Warum gibts da nörlich von München diesen freien Luftraum, der aber komplett umrandet ist von gesperrtem? Kommt man da überhaupt rein?
