I've done all types of training over the years. But what helped me the most was riding 10+ miles out of the saddle a couple of times a week for 6 weeks. That combined with strength training in the gym, a hard ride and Zone 2 ride worked wonders. Out of the saddle is what made the difference.
Why is it a dumb thing to chase? It's pretty obvious that the higher your FTP is, the higher your zone 2 endurance power will be. You can't solely focus on endurance.
I find these types of videos funny. Sure, we can get benefits from off the bike training to improve endurance, but we could just ride our bikes longer distances and trying to get faster. As mercx said, "ride your bike, ride your bike, ride your bike."
Science doesn’t support you or Mercx’ Endurance rides increase the VO2max but make you loose strength. Strength training increases the FTP, your power output. What we know at present is that long rides just make you good at riding long rides, wont help you put down any additional power.

Just lift heavy weight do sprints and pylometrics besides swim cycle and run you can look at how other people train for them

@corneackermann2176 well I've gotten faster and able to feel less strain to achieve faster speeds. Yet I'm not stronger? Ha ha, that's laughable.
