Poland wants the protection of article 5. Understandably as you can bet as soon as they place their Patriot systems on the other side of the Ukrainian border to extend this no fly zone as proposed the Russians will make them go boom and claim its impossible to tell a Polish Patroit from a Ukranian Patriot. Besides, how many warnings have the Russians given that if NATO Countries deploy military hardware on the territory of Ukraine they will target and destroy it regardless of who is manning it. Same with the F-16s. Unless Russian aircraft close to dogfighting range (which why would they put themselves at risk of whatever ground based anti-air defence exists when they have superior and longer range missiles) it is very difficult to tell the nationality of an aircraft if nations are operating the same model.
One can also understand the reticence of the European Powers to get on board with this whacky Polish Plan. They have all already lost so much military equipment in Ukraine, particularly air defence systems. Now the are being asked to risk what they have left and their airforces? Despite being Shadows of their former selves, the Luftwaffe, RAF & French Air Force will be the only effective defence Europe has in the EXTREMELY UNLIKELY event that Russia attacks a NATO Country. Which you can almost guarantee would have been kicked off my an incident of extreme escalation and provocation by said NATO Country.
My money is on Kaja Kallas...but hey...how many NATO countries (including the US) want to take on the Russians over Estonia? 🤷♂️
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.

The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).

I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.

We must realize the Ukraine air defense systems (read as western systems) are not only badly operated. But also demonstrating, for several reasons, efficiency levels well below par. Just like in the Polish "incident", Kramatorsk train station massacre and so many other cases! It has been a constant.
Certainly under such conditions serious accidents happen. This being one more case were civilians take the blow.

China has been practicing non-alliance policies and has worked out really well. Because in the US definition, when you have an alliance, you and your allies have a potential common enemy. China wants to make friends with as many countries as possible and thus would not engage in military conflict unless it feels existential threats or attempts to separate the country.

They may have been identifying as mercenaries, but "mercenary" is just a word. You may recall how frantically the French tried to evacuate some, publicly unnameable persons from Azovstal, how Macron literally begged for a partial truce to get them out, how Russia refused , with a grin on her face and how Macron after that began channeling Napoleon Bonaparte. I have no trouble believing the report you cite...it may not be a "decalssified report" from a single agent, but I know the French are into Ukraine balls deep, and have been from the beginning

As one French volunteer pointed out that there were probably less than 100 FR volunteers in all of Ukraine at the time in different roles so there was no way more than a handful of those would be in one place at one time...

In reference to the missile attack which hit the children’s hospital, Alexander is exactly correct: Whether it was a Russian missile or a Ukrainian air defense missile, the hit on the hospital was certainly accidental.
This, of course, did not stop Western governments and media from loudly decrying this attack and these deaths, knowing full well that they were accidental.
Compare and contrast this to their silence and often outright complicity with Israel’s CLEARLY DELIBERATE attacks on every single hospital in Gaza (along with all other civilian infrastructure there).
How these Western governments and media outlets do not suffer a brain aneurism from cognitive dissonance is a mystery.
Aside from a few countries such as Ireland, Spain, and Norway, the Collective West, and especially the US (I’m American, by the way), has covered itself in absolute shame complicity in the genocide in Gaza, while engaging in hypocrisy and hysterics over far smaller and fewer Russian attacks on civilian targets, especially when many of these attacks are clearly accidental or are the result of Ukrainian air defense errors.
IT IS TIME FOR REGIME CHANGE IN THE USA UK AND EUROPE.

The picture of the AIM-120 AMRAAM, also fired by the NASAM System, leaves no doubt when you compare it with the photograms extracted from the film showing the incoming missile.
