- Brandon Hagel scored the third-period winner as Canada rallied to beat Finland in one of the most-anticipated preliminary-round matchups of the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. Buffalo Sabres teammates Dylan Cozens and Owen Power chipped in a goal and an assist apiece. Jesse Puljujarvi had an impressive two goals for Finland.

Not really, This is like Canada's C-team. Focus is on the NHL Playoffs.
Not really. But like now for example I checked to see how we are doing. Our eyes are glued to the NHL playoffs here in Canada. Always thought it was a horrible time to have the World Championships for the top teams. It means more to European teams and to the former Russian teams historically.
@@vancouver1261 That's correct. It's the same thing for everyone. top-4 countries would have totally different teams in the Olympics or World Cup. Still, it's interesting to watch because of Kapanen and Bedard (2 youngsters)

That goal from Canada should have counted, it went over the line. Damn Europeans cheat again.
Which goal was not counted? (if you mean the close one at 00:47 , it was a good goal and counted) + Did you realize there were referees from all over the world? For example, one was from the US, secondly, European countries couldn't care less how other European countries are doing in a tournament, there are much greater differences between European countries than there are between Canada and the US
