I marched 2nd trumpet in this show.
Now I am aspiring “knuckle-head”, too. Great lesson and a backstick mod I was unaware of. Love the lesson, thanks!
THANKS
😎
Finally got down to learning this !tricky flam section!
I really liked this era of snare breaks!
Nice! 👍
Thanks
Your channel is my school, i'm from Brazil. 🇧🇷
hello all in Brazil!!
Are you able to do the blue devils sterling next or rhythm x 2023?
Nice, can you do 1993 Cadets also?
can you do the 2014 bluecoats, drum feature
Shit hot, as per usual Geoff, hope you are keeping well. Parky
thanks mate, you to!! 🚁🚁
Tim Greene's solo to start this break...
What year did you march Cadets? I remember some 3D backsticking in ‘97, was it the Celebration show?
I marched Cadets 97 (on Tenors)
😳
Hey could you do Tim Green’s opening solo for this whole feature😅
It would be great if you could teach us how to play "Sterling" by Los Blue Devils, it's a classic that you don't have on your channel yet, you're great
Backed
I used to know this one! Learned it in college. Fun-fact; I've met Eric Ward a few times; he was snare tech for Cadets during this era. Him and I went to the same University and marched their drumline; he's several years older than me so we never marched together but he's a cool dude. Knew several people in that circle around that time; some that would go on to march for them, marched right beside Jared Andrews who was fresh off the tour bus my second year at MSU in the tenor line. That was kinda nerve wracking at first; to be right beside someone that good. Shout-out to Demond Smith for teaching me this lick! (Who also marched for them back in the day).
Cool. I marched with the two Tims (centre) at Cadets when they were rookie snare players. great guys and went on to great things! Never met Jared or Eric but hear great things about them both.
@@FreestyleRudiments Yeah Jared was really funny when you got to know him. 2nd year in the quad line I was freaking out like "oh god; my mistakes are gonna stick out now" but after becoming friends with him, he had this way of always making me laugh on the bad days. That's a valuable thing to have going for you when you're marching. Only ran into Eric a handful of times; he was a busy dude.
I accidentally became friends with Jared's family before I knew who he was and was so lucky to make that connection. Cool dude
Wow. You really put some time and effort into this.
yea they take a little while, but the more people sub, like and comment them more I can warrant doing more 👍
please do rcc 2024 warmup
Yo, could you do pulse 2024 snare break, it just came out and looks sick
I will take a look. It will likely be after finals as these breaks sometimes change a lot on tour
Super cool. Thanks!
Lets goo!
enjoy
nice seeing you here mr. barks
great video. love this feature. my one question is this: are we sure that the partial marked as a cheese in the flam measure is really a cheese instead of just being a diddle? it's hard to tell from the video, but it sounds like the flam would have to be pretty flat if it's there at all...
maybe others from 2000 can comment but I ran this one past Tim Greene (centre) and from his recollection it was correct, to be fair it was a LONG time back and will have changed through the season.
@@FreestyleRudiments yeah, cool. just thought i'd check! super fun feature :)
sorry hey can you do a video on spanks scv i love the way it sounds
maybe one day but tbh I get bored by the time it reaches the triplet accent pattern part and to teach would be a VERY long video
Woohoo
I’m all over this….wondered how this went for years 😎
yea, I was asked to teach it in a private lesson last week and was perfect for the channel!
