Owning the 110 in a Fabia, and having driven the 95 in loaners, my experience is the 110 does have a noticeable extra bit of kick to it (not a huge amount, but it's there). But peak power numbers aren't that informative anyway; it's the 110's 200Nm peak torque between about 2000 and 3000 rpm (vs. the 160 Nm on the 95) and gearbox that makes the actual difference in real world driving. Hit the sweet spot in 3rd gear and it wooshes away. Lovely, torquey little engine.
I'm researching my next lease car and it will be an Ibiza as they are amazing value when leased. Currently looking at a deal for an Xcellence Lux DSG auto for £200 per month, 8k per annum, 36 months and 3 months deposit. For the equivalent VW Polo its at least another £50 per month and they make you pay extra for metallic paint.
I swear they were talking about the 1.5TSI in this and the Fabia but when I went on car configure they weren’t there. Are they not out yet with those engines?
@@TechInTheCar we are downsizing from Skoda Kamiq as I now have one I upsized from Fabia Monte Carlo so we don’t need Two ….. interesting to see how it compares to the Monte Carlo which was a superb car
I have the 110 xcellence lux ordered for March, i was shown the “current” ibiza xcellence Lux model as well as the new Xcellence one which was hidden away at the back of the Arnold Clark compound, the touch screen was completely different to what has been reviewed here. Either i have been misled or the salesman was confused, because quite franky i prefer the older models infotainment screen.
I believe you, but this model 100% was different, it was positioned like the new touchpad, higher up on the dash, but it had a design more akin to the older ibiza, with the touchpad “built into” the dashboard. Im not too keen on the “tablet” design so its why i chose that particular model, but there seems to of been miscommunication with the salesmen as i would not have picked it, if i knew it looked like this 😂
ive ordered the 110 xcellence model, i did want the car with digital drivers display but i liked the keyless entry on xcellence over fr sport, the xcellence lux was just a tad out of my price range
When I connect my phone with android or ios operating system to this 8.25-inch multimedia system, a black unusable bar appears on the left side of the screen. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? It is very annoying.
Try reseting the car infotainment system. If it still is doing it after that try a different USB cable. Unless this bar is meant to be there but without a photo I can't be sure.
This tech is useful and safe, you just need to understand how it works to anticipate it's interventions. Of course you can just turn it off if you have it as well. But for resale and the future it is something you should always get if you can.
Depends whether you prefer sporty handling, or a more relaxed behaviour (and €500 lower price, if that matters). Plus, the difference in appearance, which is a subjective point.
Thanks for the review. I’ve ordered the new Skoda Fabia Colour Edition 110 which has a digital display as standard and to me is a much better looking car, inside and out. The Ibiza’s fake exhausts are truly awful, whereas the Fabia has no such thing and has a lovely clean look. The Ibiza may be a bit sportier but I’m all for the comfort my Fabia will give me.

The Skoda Fabia has a Winter Pack option which includes heated steering wheel, heated windscreen, full climate control, cruise control, Soto rear view mirror and heated washer nozzles.
Hey man, you are just a head higher than this car. It means you are maximum 175 cm. Add 10 cm, and you will feel no so comfortable to set behind yourself.

They were both great to drive, for me the car with the better spec was the one I preferred.

This a nice update, but why did SEAT opt for the red trim around the air vents it's hideous and ruins the interior ambience IMO

@@colmlivingstone5540Not sure they will be coming, at least to the UK. Even the Polo has no 1.5TSI, where the 1.4TSI was once an option.
Ibiza had 1.5tsi can still find them used.

Just bought a 95 fr 2019 isn’t fast but does what you need around town suspension is very hard

What did you see? This is the newest model in my video. The older model had the display in a different position.

I haven't driven the Fabia but the Ibiza was very good so I would suggest that.
Fabia looks better and has more comfort. And is much better value.

I have double checked this and there is no heated seats or windscreen. You can of course de-mist it using the climate control.
