I like the Rdge for design. Plus, I'd be worried that the Ekster wouldn't deal well with heavier cards (one of my credit cards is metal, and it's caused problems with my Bando 3.0 wallet, which seems similar).

To be honest Ridge doesn’t sell the plates separately. They really don’t advertise that you can swap out the plates. Most people aren’t going to buy 2 wallets to do that.

I have an Ekster parliament and I absolutely love the wallet. I found my way here to compare the gold ridge and gold Ekster.I have noticed two key differences the ridge is PVD plate vs the Ekster gold plated. I’d have to go with the Ekster wallet because I love the button and the way they cards fan out. If I were lucky enough to be chosen for a free wallet I’d go with Ekster on this one. Your videos have been a great resource for making a decision on these. I'm liking the size of the ridge wallet when comparing the two. I'm also a bit concerned with the long term durability of the Ekster, seems that the mechanism could eventually fail and not sure how easy it is to repair/replace.

That's an insane price for either wallet. That's the only piece of gear that you'd not like for patina to develop.

I don't know. I would rather have one with anodized aluminum that was colored gold. Cheaper, and you won't worry about it getting scratches.

I like the ridge better. I think the ekster is cool but after a couple months of having it the button kept sticking. So I sold my ekster. Haha
