First, let me take a moment to congratulate the winners in the MAYA Awards ceremony. However, it is totally incomprehensible to me that Fluke and Ohm didn't win an award at all. UWMA is one of the most moving and powerful shows I have ever seen and totally Oscar worthy, IMHO. It wasn't filled with homophobic rantings, violence, and hot sex scenes as several of the other hit shows but it moved so many people to both tears and joy many times during the story arc. I am not putting down the other shows because I know all of those actors and production staffs work hard and are so very talented and their stories were realistically portrayed and relevant today. UWMA was a fantasy so I think it was regarded differently from other productions. The love portrayed by Ohm and Fluke was intense but quietly, in its way, more powerful than most love stories. Trust me, many people still regard gentleness, mutual respect, and devotion in a partner as highly important and a major requirement for their mutual happiness. I will always love Ohm and Fluke and I will follow them in the future during their chosen paths in their lives.
