My racket fits how I like to play and I have an 18x20 because I’d break the strings of a 16x19 too fast. Same racket choice as you, the Head Speed Pro!
@@berkearslan6581 It's not the shift technology tbh, not at my level. But - beside the fact, that it looks awesome - it is the weight of 300g (like the Pure Aero), combined with the balance point 1,5cm towards the handle. So it feels that it has less weight (for example at the net), but in the ground stroke rallye it has enough swing weight to give the ball a good pace. I absolutely love it!
Super cool that you got a signed racket from Roger 🤩 I recently switched from Pure Aero to RF 01 and it's amazing, I like it a lot. It complements my game well, helping me to hit flatter and to attack more often.
@@sebastiandomagala9233 Not as big of a switch as you might think 😁 I played with Wilson (PS 97, 315g) before the Pure Aero, but I needed more power and depth to deal with stronger opponents, and the PA (2023 with the denser string pattern) helped me. I had better serves and better running shots. Now I learned to generate spin and depth on my own, so the RF 01 helps me with more precision. The weight is the same, 300g, head size is close (100 vs 98) and yes, the swingweight is different, lower on the RF. I also love the thinner beam on the RF. Before RF 01 was announced I really considered switching to the PA 98 (Alcaraz), but Wilson is closer to my heart so I hoped for a new racket that's not a Blade, and it happened 😄
i am using the head gravity pro right now and i love it, played with the vcore 95 because i wanted control, i still love the racket. but gravity pro is so much easier to play and alot more power. loving to play with it.
@@sebastiandomagala9233 hahah, maybe not easy to play, but way easier than vcore 95, way bigger frame and more power cause of the weight. if you dont move insanely well with vcore you misshit alot.
@@BB-iRunThis I demoed a Grav Pro when I was still using my Blades (v7 18/20), with quite some weight added to the Blades (beefed it up to 357g strung). Too little difference for a switch, a bit better on my forehand, but the same amount worse on my backhand. I never tried the Vcore 95, I am done testing for the next 20 years (except if my current racquets break). According to what some ppl say about it, I could have some fun with it. But I found my racquet, no need to try ever again.
@@sebastiandomagala9233 Gravity Pro sells well because many tennis influencers here on UA-cam hype that racquet up. I don't get the appeal of that racquet, huge clunky head size and head shape, very difficult to manoeuvre it around. It is great from the baseline when you have time to prepare, and mostly good to hit a mean flat ball.
Sensible thoughts about sticking with your racket. You can always play around with your strings set up if you want! The only thing I would say is that 20 years is a long time 😅 and your tennis may look different then… (I’m sure you were exaggerating, so this is more for others) If your gamestyle/physicality changes, that would be a reason to make a change. I see a lot of club players sticking with a racket they used 20 years ago and they’re now either much stronger players (if they’re 35 and still playing with a racket from their teens) or weaker physically/less mobile if they’re older.
Pure aero vs with grapplesnake tour sniper razor code white 1.3 hybrid at 23 kilos it helps me accentuate my natural good top spin and strong forehand while still providing enough directional control decent serves and backhand. Tried other racquets like the pure strike 98 18 x 20 which helps my weaker sides giving me more consistent backhand even better control and stronger serve but it was not worth the tradeoff it was better to enhance the stronger parts of my game.
I don't know if it makes sense to you but I have 2 types of rackets: One that helps me play better (e.g., Pure Aero), and the other that forces me to play better (e.g., Angell TC 95). And on some days, some rackets just work better for me. I guess I know what I don't like but I'm not that sensitive that I have to play to play with one type of racket. Don't know if that hold back my development but I enjoy trying to make sense of different rackets and strings. 😊
I hear you, but just be careful with two different rackets as it can upset your elbow and your tennis. I’d try to develop your game with just one. I understand how you feel, I’ve seen a few club players doing the same, but it will also affect you mentally as you’ll always have an excuse in the back of your mind (even if you don’t think about it)
Which prestige do you have? I have a tour that should be here Tuesday, wondering if it's the same as your preference. Swapping from speed pro to prestige tour
Have you tried Hawk Touch on the Speed Pro? I’m also currently using Lynx Tour at 52-54lbs on my 360+ Speeds Pro, just ordered the Speed Pro Legend and going to try Hawk Touch as I’ve really liked it in a couple different racquets
@@TheTennisMentor Will do, I really liked it in the Gravity 98 prototype I hit with last week, but it had been used by who knows how many people already and felt 40lbs at best lol…positive is though, it plays nice at low tension which is great for the arm haha
The best racket is the one that comes on specifications unlike my Head Speed Pro that came at 317g and around 340 SW which is killing my shoulder. Pitty, otherwise the racket is really good... Tolerance +-7g is a terrible standard. That makes a difference of 14 g in extreme cases. On paper 2 identical rackets might be completely different and a lighter version might be actually as heavy as its on paper heavy counterpart.
I got 3 Yonex Vcore Pro.. 19? The HD 18x20, target was 320grs unstrong, 2 were 319grs, the other 318grs. They were consecutive serial numbers, which in my opinion was amazing inventory control (good job TW and Yonex). They say the Yonex issue is with swing weight control, but measuring that is above my league.
I learned a lot from my local tennis shop. Best advice is to try multiple rackets with the same or similar string and tension. Hopefully the pro at the shop does this with their demos. Then you can best play demo rackets and close in on a frame that suits your game the best.
imo the best racquet for a rec player is the most powerful racquet you can possibly use that can keep the ball in the court. A lighter more powerful racquet will let you play for longer and hit harder with out prefect techique.
@@willfaust471 I enjoy it most when I m crushing the ball 110mph+ and just winning out right.
