seriously this serial is an example that you do not need to have gratuitous scenes, over the top gestures or skimpy clothes, profanity to convey deep romance. decades later, still worth a re-watch for the umpteenth time. well done, Pakistani film makers.
Current generation who like series like Khaani and Kese tere khud gharzi don't even know what a master piece looks like. The drama we are proud of that we watched it during its first run.

I ReALLy like the simplicity of this drama I mean just look at khirad, she is so simple nd beautiful anyone can fall for her❤ Plus the involvement of a religious factor which make it more beautiful ✨
Aside from this being a fantastic storyline and portrayal the character of ashar is really indecisive and gullible. He couldn't tackle sara , didn't even try to think the situation logically or didn't even question a thing about khirad leaving home! Not even once he tried to communicate with her and when khirad did so, he cut her off! BUT let me say this once! Ashar as a dad is something really to be admired..I give that to him.. Also hat's off to fawad and mahira for portraying the characters with such perfection ❤..We all were left speechless and in awe seeing all the ashar and khirad moments, be it romantic or sad one! Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
I agree. Ashar’s character is poorly written. All the other characters have clear personalities and flaws and we know why they make the decisions they make but Ashar’s isn’t the same way. People talk about Ashar being a good father but not Khirad being a good mother. She sacrificed so much for her daughter and has done everything possible to make her daughter happy but Ashar didn’t do the same thing. He buys her toy after toy and doesn’t tell her no. He isn’t being stern with her

I'm from Nigeria, and this is probably like my 10th time watching this, and I've been doing so without subtitles, I've had to rely on what little knowledge of Hindi I have to get by. A true masterpiece, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan became my favourites almost immediately. I literally jumped when I saw the complete episodes of this series and Zindagi Gulzar Hai on this channel, and I'd been searching for months ❤❤❤❤ Although, I would very much love if the series on this channel came with subtitles, most of us viewers have little to no knowledge of Hindi or Urdu. Please help make our viewing a wonderful experience 😢❤❤

Also from Nigeria,but I understand the language,HINDI &URDU.I start watching Indian serial but fortunately during the pandemic I was bored and went on UA-cam,I saw my first Pakistani drama JO TOU CHAHAY Also a nice drama and from there I have watched a lot of Pakistan drama I must say,even a small and low Pakistani storyline drama is better than Indian drama,respect to lollywood walon.

This drama is a reminder for everyone to teach your partner sharing every little jealousy stuff with you only. Honestly, none of this happened if Ashaar confessed to Khairat about his discomfort when he sees Khaizar around her. Ashar should've fixed his communication skill. Also each victim deserves to give clarification, he didn’t even let her speak. Sigh

Khirad had no way of knowing that Ashar was insecure since he never mentioned it to her giving that idea that he didn’t like her. His own insecurities broke his relationships with everyone around him. In the end he damaged his relationship with his wife for good, lost his best friend and lost trust in his mother. His mother was evil but all of the problems centered around Ashar.
True he made thousand mistakes like being jealous, possessive then punished her earlier (stopped talking) was unable to saw truth but he still after thinking Khirad cheated him wanted to reconcile shows love also

He didn’t tell Khirad that he was uncomfortable with her talking to Khizer and he didn’t tell Khizer he was uncomfortable with him being with his wife. Even with Sara he didn’t distance himself from her and waited until the end to really talk to her about her feelings. He shouldn’t of given Sara access to his personal life after knowing she was in love with him. I feel that so much of this could of been prevented if he had distanced himself from Sara and probably communicated his feelings and boundaries to others. What do you think?

I'm watching this in 2023 for the first time cuz I had heard that it's a really good series........ok so at first few ep I was like that it is very exaggerated in some points which I don't like nd I quit watching it but then after few days somehow I manage to watch it from where I left it nd after 9/10 ep u won't believe I just get addicted to this serie there is so much suspense which I like about this drama it has many other pints as well which is never ending details so I won't go there But collectively in one sentence this drama is a master piece amazing 🔥🔥10/10

Khirad ne apna dill ziada hi sakht kr lia tha atleast ashar aik dafa sach Jan ne ka haq rakhta tha..Us ne sach Jane bagair khirad ko maaf krne ka faisla kr lia tha ..
So after 4 years even believing that khirad cheated him Ashar was ready to accept and forgive her (although there was no mistake of Khirad) which Ashar was unable to see.. that was his mistake i must say.
It’s possible that Sara’s mother felt that taking her to a doctor would make things worse or that it wouldn’t help her. All Sara wanted was to get married to Asher and she felt that by going with this plan she would get Asher but only now does she realize that it was never going to happen. It’s hard to say if going to a doctor would have made much of a difference. All Sara’s mother wanted was for her daughter to be happy and at peace but now she doesn’t know what to do.

I wonder why it didn't occur to Sara's mother to get her examined by a psychiatrist when she had a meltdown.
It’s possible that Sara’s mother felt that taking her to a doctor would make things worse or that it wouldn’t help her. All Sara wanted was to get married to Asher and she felt that by going with this plan she would get Asher but only now does she realize that it was never going to happen. It’s hard to say if going to a doctor would have made much of a difference. All Sara’s mother wanted was for her daughter to be happy and at peace but now she doesn’t know what to do.
