Din lost his parents to Separatist droids. Grogu became an orphan when Order 66 was initiated. So sad how tragedy can start two individuals on a path that will eventually bring them together as a family.
Din lost his parents by Separatist droids, and Grogu lost his Jedi family by Clone Trooper. Tragedies due to the Clone Wars that eventually brings two individuals together and become each other's family.
The whole point being made is that you are "forged" = made stronger through being "hammered" by adversity. Facing your trauma is intentional and in fact crucial to the process. If you don't face your trauma, if you try to avoid or escape it, you are made weaker by it. If you (like the steel) are resilient and go through your trauma; experience it fully; let it damage you then you will come out changed, but for the better and stronger than you were before. It's a beautiful metaphor and one of the things i love(d) about this show.

The sparks and the sounds remind those who have trauma of blaster fire. In a way its therapeutic helping them process their trauma .
