- We teamed up with our friend Kurt Ballou to release some of his favorite guitar and bass tones. Available for ToneHub and Kemper formats. The pack contains 114 custom presets. OUT NOW at www.stltones.com.
Flooded with endless djent-oriented stuff, this is what many of us have been waiting for. Kurt is the man!
Seriously. Does every fucking djent player on earth need to release the exact same tone pack over and over with their names on it?
@@zachiswayposi1 Djent and metalcore as a whole are just copy+paste of the same two or three bands. It's boring, honestly. If you've heard one djent band, you've heard them all. If you seen one djent guitar player on social media, you've seen each and every single one of them.
Very rarely does a band or player come around with an interesting take on a played to death genre.
@@zachsabbath1 facts, Animals as Leaders, Meshuggah, and Vildjartah are the only djent bands I ever need to hear ever again.
check out car bomb, or frontierer. mixes more chaos, noise, and ignorance with the tight shuggah shuggah sound
My favorite heavy guitar tones came from Kurt at GodCity. While I would have liked a Tonality Kurt Ballou plugin, this is still a day one purchase.
EDIT: Just bought it and really like it! His and Taylor Young's packs are my favs.
The bass tones on this are a killer bonus too.
I was instantly transported back to crust punk gigs in the UK in the late 80s. 🤘🤘
THIS IS SO AWESOME! For the love of the Hardcore gods, PLEASE GIVE THIS MAN A TONALITY SUITE! If we get models of Kurt's JMP, his V4, and his Sparrow Son amp, I will be a happy man!
So killer. Really looking forward to checking this out.
Love your channel, glad to know you are a Kurt Ballou fan. You should play some Converge riffs in future videos
Kurt has an impeccable way of capturing urgency and immediateness of bands. His experience with live music really bleeds through on all his work. So good.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I can not say thank you enough.
What is background song here?
'Blood Moon' it's from a collaboration Converge recently did with Chelsea Wolfe.
In this STL Tones video it sounds like an instrumental version but here's the proper song for you.
