I was 10 years old, I remember this song and commercial. One of the most exciting times of the year when I was a kid was hearing the youth fair commercial.
Ever since Conklin Shows went under, the fair hasn't been the same since. Now this old commercial reminds us just how GREAT the fair was back in the day. For all of you then and little kids.... You missed it guys😔😔
I left this same comment on another video. The pure nostalgia for this is real. As a kid in the 80s and 90s when this commercial popped up on tv the pure excitement was palatable. I just wish they would bring back a large coaster for that corner of the fair. Petition for the Dopple looper to come back!!!!!!! Lmao
@@blueriver4484 ooh cool. i went to south miami high from 2000-2002 then hialeah miami lakes my last two years. some of my freinds ended up going to coral park too
I don’t remember what year they took it off but I remember ours 2008 six grade year with my girlfriend we went and got on the double and since I didn’t want her to see I was scared I said sure let’s goAnd then she regretted it but it was too late we’re already strap inside great memories
This was when it was at its peak and really good. Catchy songs, Conko the clown as its classic symbol, best times for youth, best rides while introducing new ones and keeping the good ones and classics still. Now the song sucks or no music at all with no lyrics and catchy tune, no more Conko the clown as its identifiable symbol of fun who all recognized, park is not that fun anymore and has become a bit more ghetto and street and not family friendly as it was, a lot of rides shut down or break down and accidents occurr, and now they give us three new rides each year and take off at least 8 best ones and no more classic rides abound the fair while the new rides they introduce are mainly drop rides and 2 takes of the same ride they already have in their roster. What the hell? Beloved classics they removed: The rainbow (classic favorite) Tidal wave (classic favorite) Double Sky wheel (classic favorite for couples) Cobra Scorpion Mark 1 roller coaster (been there for years and was the smallest and first roller coaster chosen for beginners) Wildcat roller Coaster (the bigger coaster than the mark 1 and the second main attraction every year with longest line) Chaos Tornado/Touchdown Swiss bob coaster (a strange and unique classic ride that was underrated) The Runaway train coaster (a classic underrated ride, a dragon wagon coaster for adults) Break dance (classic favorite) Enterprise (classic favorite) G-Force (one of the new ones that became a favorite) Crazy flip/flip n out (became the most talked about and favorite) Gravitron (classic favorite removed cause one girl got hurt when the walls opened during motion) Zipper (classic favorite) Round up (classic favorite) Doppel Looping (Double Looper roller coaster which was the most iconic and main ride) Polar express with best announcer and music and many different takes of the Himalaya rides were removed which is like a staple classic in every park . who knows how many more were also removed I cant think of now but now you walk the park and we have nothing shown that is iconic, no roller coasters but the crazy mouse which is fun but does not provide the thrill the wild cat and doppel looping did, took off the classic spinning classic park staples for what? For at least 3 variations of the drop rides, 3 types of orbiters, 1 Himalaya ride, and 4 versions of the Fireball (which I love but no need for 3 more that do the same motion with different paint jobs in exchange for removing classic beloved rides) and the class of people that go now and fights that occur and no happy children around...Fair sucks now I hear the city is commissioning to move the fair in a different lot due to FIU grounds expanding. Contracts have been signed 2014. Lets see what happens and where it will be.
I know this is a old comment but you are so right, the few times I have gone to the fair in the last few years & I just feel like the quality of the rides has been completely downgraded
I rarely use an emoji to express myself, but if I had to use an emoji to express the way I feel about this commercial: 😢 (tears of joy) #throwback #nostilgia #Miami #DadeCounty #MiamiBass #LutherCampbell
My daughter:, there's a fair in the next town Me: take your family Her: Ok Me: go with your friends Her: they're busy Me: for a good time. Where the fun never ends Her: ........
Why can’t the fair still look like this. Now you have more food stands then rides and the rides are doubled to having two to three of the same kind scattered across the park. It’s sad what they did to the fair. 😢😢😢😢
The Miami Dade County youth fair back in the 90s to mid 2000s was just super fun, ever since then the Youth Fair has downgraded in quality with every passing year. The few times I've been to the Youth Fair in the last 10 years I just don't get that same excitement anymore, it now looks like a small crappy fair but on a bigger scale.
I agree. It was so lit back in the 1990s and early 00s. The last time I went before I visited in 2015 was in 2001 and had the time of my life. Haven't been back since 2015, the vibe of the place was just different. I still had fun but no where near the fun I had back in '01.
This was just a few short years before morbid obesity hit America and everyone wanted to be Eminem. You will never...i repeat...never...see an America like it was a couple of years before 9/11/2001.😢
The happy memories this song brings is incredible...back in 96’🙌
I’ve had this song stuck in my head since 1996 😂
Man this song gives me chills so many memories seeing it as a child with my family in the living room watching tv. Wow time flies so fast.......

Anyone remember taking field trips here?? I remember my dad was a chaperone one time, it was the best!!!
All the time

i remember this theme song and fair commercial in the early 90s in my childhood i grew up in south florida
We are getting old. I feel huge nostalgia

I used to get excited when ever I hear this commercial when I lived in Miami.
Really a great piece of Miami history... be there.... *****THE FAIR*****!!!!!!

Agreed I was only 4 years old always hearing this commercial each year made me excited ready to go with my family to the youth fair.
Same!! What a time
As someone who lived in Miami since 1992 I remember this we used to go on field trips at school all the time
Those amazing years will never come back. They're just memories
Damn remember seeing this commercial when I was like 5 or 6.. I'm 27 now 😢

Wow takes me way back to my childhood I used to go every year since I was born have not been back there since 2003
It's not the same, anymore. But those memories are important
Damn your parents must've been rich if you used to go there every year as a kid. U lucky
Well, this just unlocked a memory.....
Just goin to this on a field trip was always dope

Oh my god!!! I miss these days so much lmao
the days when the rides were newer.... and didnt kill people? yeah me too
Forever an absolute favorite.
I remember this! OMG!
The fair stopped being fun after 2008...
My favorite is Fireworks 🎆, food, Arcade games, & Professional Wrestling at The Fair, if you asked me truly personally.
Christmas Wonderland at Dade Country Fair, we’ll bring back Santa’s Enchanted Forrest to Tropical Park!
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!!! I CAN’T WAIT TO BE THERE @ THE FAIR!!! 😊 NEXT THURS!!! 😃
