DISCLAIMER: if you're a Windows 7 fan and hate Windows 10, then you won't like this video, as I give praise to several areas of Windows 10 in this video.

After two years I’ve switched back to 7. It’s great to be home.
Same. I got Windows 10 but it didn't work with my Wi-Fi hardware so I went back to 7, upgraded back to 10 when I got new Wi-Fi hardware and now I'm going back to Windows 7. It really is the perfect OS. Shame that Microsoft tries to cripple it on new hardware, and broke it (perhaps deliberately) on older hardware made before SSE2 was introduced.

W7 has a much better User Interface as well as underlying mechanics and software support that W10 doesn't carry. Windows 10 not only has an uglier look and much more clutter that no one will ever use, but it also has much less support for things that people actually care about.
What software support doesn't Windows 10 have that Windows 7 has? What doesn't Windows 10 support that people "actually care about"? Windows 10 natively supports almost every single thing Windows 7 can do, and performs better on the exact same hardware.
All most people do in their OS anyways is use it as an over-glorified program launcher. So therefore, it makes complete sense to focus on the default programs that come bundled with the OS.

when i go win 8.1 (new comp) I disliked it because of lot of "bloatware" etc. however, when I tried the free upgrade to win 110 everything broke! my dvd writer was unusable, my video card crashed, my soundcard buzzed instead of playing music... pure shit from the get go. I tried getting "upgrades" from the parts manufacturers for the driver problems and failed.. why? even hardware manufacturers are still using win 7! when I finally got my computer running in a stable manner (barely) not a single piece of my productivity software worked. I do audio visual editing and content creation but win 10 wants me to be a passive consumer.. fu** that. if I could I would roll back to win 7.. but at least win 10 made me hat 8.1 a lot less than beforte.

This is coming from a non bias point of view. Just got a new PC. And my first thought before I got it was "I am definitely reverting back to Windows 7 once I get that Baby!!". I got the PC....within hours of using -- I realized I was much better off with Windows 10. It's just better in so many ways. I will miss a lot about Win7 especially the great features that Wins10 don't even have -- but a far much better operating system for sure compared to 7. Not even close actually, to my surprised. I sincerely had zero desire to keep 10 before my PC got shipped to me. Zero! But now.....here I am.
I am honestly starting to believe that the hate for Win10 is a mere nostalgia for Wins7. But deep down inside they know that Wins10 is better in almost every ways. Best way I can put it at this point.

Hell -- to even expand more on my comment, on the very first hour of owning the PC I hated Windows 10. Why? Because of the Password you're forced to input no matter what even after the screen goes to sleep. And at that moment I already forgotten what password I put Because I didn't think it would be mandatory after the setup was completed. So I hated Win10 right there on the spot then convinced myself to downgrade to Win7 64 bit the coming weekend! So as I managed to reset my windows and resumed to mess around with it -- I began to fall more and more in love with it. Within 2 days it was wrap and far too obvious that Win10 would serve me far much better than Win7 ever had. So there you go. And I can give you all the details you'd like as well, sir.
Keep in mind that I have been using Win7 for about 7 years til now. Trust me when I say that I had zero desires to keep Win10 prior of using my new P.C.

Best joker, I agree completely. The ui is fucking horrible. An operating system should be bare, dull, Easy to navigate, and simply be in the background of everything you're doing in general. It doesn't need animated Icons, and panel boxes to click on. It should be a file system.. as an OS should be.. Once windows is completely phased over to windows 10, I'll be running linux. everyone else can give Microsoft all their info, and total control of everything they do on their PC. I'll pass. I like controlling my own shit. Linux is gearing up pretty hard now since they know the windows 7 update deadline is 2020. I've been watching it pretty heavily since windows licker 10 came out. By then, there will be a completely compatible version of Linux with all software/systems/steam/games/etc. I'll be giving Microsoft the finger at that point.

Windows 7 does have a few Tablet Accessories, however Windows 7 was not designed for tablets or touch screen PCs the way Windows 10 is.

I just thought of another issue that I don't like about W10 - You have to tell the OS that you want to use the built in speakers or a headphone every time you want to go from one to the other. In win 7, when you plugged in the headphones the speakers were disabled and when you unplugged the headphones, the speakers were automatically enabled. Also the volume level on the speakers is about 40% when the mixer shows 100%.

Windows 10 doesn't emulate a tablet...Windows 8 did, but that was the whole point of 10...to make it more desktop-like.

Yup. Also, Vista isn't any slower than Windows 7. It's that the average home PC's hardware wasn't powerful enough at the time of Vista's release to properly. If Windows 7 had released at the time of Vista's release, it would have been the same story, regarding performance. And Vista wasn't that buggy. It's other main problem was that it didn't ship with 3rd-party drivers included in the OS, and the average PC user didn't know how to find the drivers for their hardware and manually install them.

Windows 7 and 10 privacy is the same ?!?. have you even READ the "Get to know you better" section of the Windows 10 settings, where it clearly states that they are using a keylogger ("typing history") and a voice recorder (cortana) to monitor everything you do?
I have. You can also turn both of those off. Basic telemetry in Windows 7, 8.1, and Windows 10 are the same.
...and do you also know they turn themselves ON again after each mandatory update? because you failed to mention this on your video. Bottom line: once you have spyware shipped as part of the OS, you can't get rid of it or trust the company that created it in the first place to keep it turned off. The only safe solution is not to use that OS. Saying that privacy in W7,8=W10 is simply wrong.
Κώστας Γεωργίου I unfortunately do know the "spying" can turn itself back on in every update, but it's the same story in Windows 7/8.1. I really don't think a majority of users will care to be honest. The only real solution IMHO if you don't want to worry about Windows spying on you is to Linux.
FakeNinja windows 7 and 8.1 had updates where the same temeletry as windows 10 has got added.
Also, why are you so sure that if you disable something in windows, that it completely disable? As we do not have the code , we can't be sure that telemetry is turned off on any Microsoft system.

In win7-win10, we ALL dont know how much telemetry is left after disabling them. doesnt matter which os. most companies just dont upgrade because they are lazy or their IT area is just too small, or they say "never change a running system".

Windows 7 is popular in India. Of course, because of low price and being stable. People in India use PC for doing random shit unlike foreign PCs. Foreigners use PC for Gaming, high end gaming. Indian Gaming community lies mainly on Mobile gaming. If have 4GB or less RAM, Use WINDOWS 7 is exactly what I saying. So, right choice is now obvious to you.
I use to have a laptop with Windows 7. It ended up getting destroyed. I purchased a new one with Windows 8, I hated it so I upgraded to 8.1 I hated that one as well, so I upgraded to Windows 10, and I dispise it! I would like to return to Windows 7, but I can't find a tutorial similar enough to my situation. And yes, I still have the product key for Windows 7. Can I have some help?
Go to the windows website and install it and if that doesn't work just buy a disc or thumbdrive
Search on google windows 7 iso and download the desired windows 7 edition example: professional,ultimate and then download a software called rufus that can make bootable usb drive, after downloaded the software open it and click “select iso file” and you select the windows 7 iso, when the process ended close the program and shut down your pc, then click the startup button and it will boot automatically for the usb, if it don’t boot automatically form the usb, select the usb from the bios. That’s all man!
Edit: if you have any important files on windows 10 do a backup on a device like another usb!
Comments below are all well and good and substantively true, but at the end of 2019, Windows are effectively pulling the plug on "support" for Windows 7 (updates, fixes, security etc) thus forcing us all to make a change we don't want. An upgraded 7 would be far better - and simpler to those of us who don't want complicated systems, most of which we do not need. Is anyone at Windows actually listening ?
If not, then no-one can be blamed for criticising the imposition of Windows 10 as just ANOTHER moneymaking exercise.

no one plays microsoft games. those are just extras for elderly people that are learning how to use a computer. besides that people just want n like how Directx11 is compared to Directx 12 (that adds latency to games)and has more memory ram usage . the ligher the btter. even tho i have 64Gb ram on Gskill Trident Z RGB xDon my i7 7700k i like how smooth every program and games works on it compared to windows 10. and aswell You get lower latecy using windows 7 compared to windows 10.
Idk what it is exactly but both vista and 7 had their charm. I think it’s the limitations which make it more exciting rather than having everything there if you get me.

The Windows 10 theme is so inconsistent. Some screens fit the new 10 theme with others still look like Windows 7. I don't like the 10 theme at all. It looks like it was designed for tablets, not desktops.

@@Dr-Random I prefer the Professional edition, because it uses a bit less RAM and the only difference is that Windows 7 Ultimate has Bitlocker, but it doesn't have Windows Ultimate Extras like Windows Vista Ultimate.
I upgraded (a misnomer indeed) to Win 10 on my pretty decent PC, after a couple of months the entire PC came to a halt. I immediately installed my Win7 Pro and I have been using it without incident ever since, this pleases me.
Windows 7 users: we just want to have a better version of Windows 7 that runs faster and is more efficient and maybe add in some minor features
Microsoft: okay let's get rid of the perfectly functional control panel that's simple and is better in almost every way and do this weird panel shit, add a useless voice command helper, and oh yeah, get rid of stuff like Purble Place and put Candy Crush in as a replacement, and make the start up sound not nearly as iconic as 7's

The Windows 10 Control Panel-dual-setup application is a sign that in Windows 10, the definitive setup isn't ready yet ... Which is weird for an OS being live for 5 years, but it sets the new standard: it's definately lowering the quality

Sometimes the CPu and Ram usages gets pretty high and it makes the computer pretty slow, so I'm going back to old root for now until Windows 10 gets to the point that it is more stable then Windows 7 and has features that 7 doesn't that I really need.

You cannot compare boot time unless they both were restarted, because "shut down" on win10 works like "hibernation", and that's why it boots much faster.
Microsoft edge is an actual web browser for users, internet explorer, on the other hand, is a basic application even in win10, its used to configure connections and is the basis for access to the Internet for software's/applications etc.
I personally think win10 have a really clean look and feels more comfortable to use. Even built-in antivirus is surprisingly good.
The problem starts with unnecessary apps and services that are not so easy to get rid off.

The theme for Windows 10 actually does have a name. So here is what it Microsoft set theme names as:
Windows 1.0 - 3.1 = (Not named)
Windows 95 - Millennium Edition = Windows Standard
Windows XP = Luna, Windows Classic
Windows Vista - 7 = Windows Aero
Windows 8 = Metro
And, Windows 10 = Windows Aero.
Yes, it makes no sense, except Microsoft removed names for Windows themes in Windows 10, however, if you go to C:\Windows
esources\Themes, you will notice it says "Aero" for the default theme.
If you do the exact same thing in Windows 8, it does say "Aero" for the theme, but that is because it still has resources from Windows 7 , and so does Windows 10, except Microsoft made a statement that the theme is called "Metro", but for Windows 10, they didn't give it a name, so the name is technically Windows Aero.

Even today, Windows 7 feels like a nice refreshing glass of water. It's easy, good looking, simple, fast, very reminiscent of XP (which a lot of people like) and not cluttered with ads and app store games in the start bar.
Windows 10 feels likes it's trying too hard to be futuristic to where it becomes unappealing, misses the traits of what makes Windows so great and it just looks flat and boring. It's straight up frustrating to use a majority of the time and not as customizable (ie, not being able to remove freaking Microsoft Edge). It also feels slow.
My Windows 10 computer came with Power Media Player by default, and it can play DVDs...

In Windows 10 there is a Bug that decreases the dedicated memory of Intel HD Graphics users by 50%. In Windows 7, this does not happen, because the Windows 7 manages better all Hardware components, and also does not make your HD to be in overuse.
I actually run Windows 10 pro 64bit on a 32bit Dell inspiron 1545 laptop, as my 2nd computer, and it runs fine, albeit hotter presumably, as the cooling fan runs almost constantly, especially when multi tasking. And that thing only has an intel celeron, 1.9ghz duo core cpu. I did install an extra 2gb of ram, and a 256gb ssd to help it keep pace with these modern times though, and so far, it has been sweet. That computer was purchased around 2005 I think, and has had 2 new keyboards, and a new usb port in its lifetime. And the touchpad no longer works, but I use a mouse anyway. I can still get most stuff done on it though, without any issues at all. Not sure how it would handle video editing, or modern gaming, but as an every day computer, surfing the web, and office tasks, its great. It also streams Netflix and Amazon prime with no problems, as well as UA-cam etc.

When I first used Windows 10 at work I honestly thought it was a budget release. A kind of discount minimal OS. My view hasn't changed. There are plenty of uses for DVD and CD drives on a PC. Music is one of them.

I really HATE windows 10 so much, I had endless amount of issues with it, Absolutely rubbish. Filled with Bloatware and stuff that is unnecessary and useless that just slows down your computer. Windows 10 also looks boring, flat and dull it's like the looks are going backwards in time NOT forwards. It has 2 programs that you change your settings on which is just confusing and stupid, control panel is way better than settings. Windows 10 has so much clutter that nobody would use and has less support for stuff that people actually care about, Windows 10 is just a waste of time and money and nobody wants to use it. If you get Windows 10, It's a recipe for disaster!
Windows 7 is way better because It's just so much simpler and easy and people actually want to use it. It has a fantastic look (Aero theme) and is not filled with clutter and bloatware and it has the features that people want and need, not features that nobody cares about. Windows 7 has very good user interface and is very easy to customise into your personal preferences. Windows 7 is the best operating system ever and always will be, Windows 7 is totally worth it.

Windows 7 is EOL. If you care about your security, go to Windows 10. I don't care how buggy it is, if you want to stay up to date, use Windows 10. They're just not supporting 7 anymore. Personally I like Windows 10. The UI looks better than 7 and Search is _much_ better to use than the old start menu.

In the other video you said that people don't fix what isn't broken. But here, like many other technology enthusiasts, you gave preference to the newer for no reason. Despite the settings panel not giving a flat list, or the presence of bloatware. And in the Seven video, you chose the Start menu that doesn't cascade out.
EDIT: I take back everything I said, windows 10 is bloated and is super laggy after a month's use, and I've spent all day trying to fix it after it just randomly bricked my laptop... I miss 7 so much

Love Windows 7 never really had too many issues with it, got 10 on a newer pc I like the look of it but hate the fact it constantly wants to update even though I have disabled it, somehow it switches itself back on! 2. I get completely bombarded with stupid adverts on both Edge and the OS itself.

5. Privacy and info hog.
6. Cortana hogs up my disk / wifi all the time.
7. Theres so many bugs with windows 10. Far more than the same time after release for both 7 and 8.
