@@InfectedAdri Since playing the original in 1998 I've completed a degree in Japanese language, have level one of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and work as a J>E translator. I'ma play the remake in Japanese. They finished the incomplete parts of the game, even Fuse's quest! I'm too busy right now but when I get to it I will be in heaven. I'll play all of it in English first and then Japanese!
@@ivanrorick I'm gonna pick up the game on steam as soon as I can, because it looks really cool! I didn't play it as a kid but I'm very curious about it, and the genocide heart boss battle was pretty epic from the stream I've watched. Best of luck to you and hope you'll have lots of fun with the game, both in japanese and english haha
Yo!!!!! I think one of the Alexander Raids in FFXIV references this fight! in A4 (aka The Burden of the Father) the boss preforms an attack called "Carnage Zero" where it richochets all these lasers about the room and hits everyone in the arena.
very late but you can tell how much health GH has left by looking at the screens. the more destroyed, the closer he is to death and i think the weaker carnage becomes
reimi jahana To my understanding, his HP is set each phase, it isn't a specific amount entirely. When you get his HP down a certain percentage he will begin his next phase or some shit. As for Carnage's power, I don't think it gets weaker... maybe, I never really paid attention to that part.
reimi jahana I recently saw a video of this fight in Japan where some guy did like 30k damage in one turn and the same amount a couple turns after, and the round didn't end, you have to actually go through those 3 virtual shift phases before you can really finish him off, though if I were to guess, once the 3 shifts are over, depending on how much HP the thing has left after the last phase will probably determine how long it'll take to finish it off, hell, one regular sword attack would probably finish it off with no problem. This fight is very confusing in terms of the scripting. :P
I wish SE would remake this game with all the content that got cut from it from developer meddling (3 of the characters have incomplete scenarios, one character got cut entirely) instead of putting out garbage like FF13.
@spagia1 Its his name. Sorta like Robo in Chrono Trigger when his Ser name was R-166 or something like that. T260G is like that, its his normal name. So I changed it to Cybor (The G at the end is put in for script based purposes.)
Playing this for the first time and I opted for T260 as well. Always nice to see a mech in a Jrpg. It seems I need to acquire more skills, as I'm at the point of no return.
Ah, this battle... T260G's was the first quest I ever finished. I did it with an all Mec party though, since they are immune to Carnage's instant-death effect (I'm guessing you found 3 Holy Chalices? Bravo) and it fits the theme. Genocide Heart's HP is weird. I don't think it matters how hard you hit it, it will always go through three Virtual Shifts and three Carnages before dying. The only time you need to hit it hard is during the shifts.
@LegendaryAsshole Dude I do not care about the graphics and I only said do not buy at full price I did not said it was a bad game so don't put words in my mouth . Also I bought Nier at full price and finished it .Enjoyed the story and the music but like you said the gameplay lacked and for that reason the price of 60$ is a bit high. Ive been a fan of SE since I was 9 played most of their games nes to ps3 and when a 20 year old game is better that what the have now I'm pretty disappointed.
What I always loved about the delicious irony of "No Future" is when it comes up one final time for him.
Almost brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?
This games' soundtrack was so epic. I got very pumped up for all the boss battles 😊
Thank you so much for posting this, brings back some awesome memories. This is my all-time favorite video game.
NO FUTURE
Definitely one of my favorite RPG's of all time too. :D
you must be pretty happy right now haha

Love the constant pace.
The music in the area just before the T260G's boss is absolutely EPIC.
Ultimate Weapon I think it's called
One of the absolute best dungeon themes ever. Only one off the top of my head that I can think of that is better is Ocean Palace.
Holy shit, Carnage.
I have never seen such intense ricochet madness. _I love it._

This was such a great final boss battle. Carnage still sends a chill down my spine when I hear it go off.

+Cadmium Crows That's pretty badass.

reimi jahana course if you got the TP and DSC itself, a full version of it can wipe GH out in 2-3 rounds

I was aching for a Level 5 Combination the whole fight.
Riki seems to be dancing to the music at the beginning :)
I remember trying to play this game as a kid and remember it being hard as shit.
same. i never beat a single scenario
The easiest is Red's scenario.

9 years later. Good news buddy. It's coming back! :D

You sir, are totally correct! ^^ Lute was awesome!
Oh god, I want to play SaGa Frontier again =)
You can now, as you're probably all to aware by now.
They were so much more creative back then, in the good old days of gaming.
"Activating ice system"
*shifts to desert next turn*
Complete fail, GenocidoHaato. Complete fail.
Well.... I kinda defeated that Final boss, with just all four Mecs, and Gen.
Late comment but, you can get a 5th Mec in T260G's scenario.
And Mostly, I train.
Okay, I get the idea. Also, I finished the game with this time three Mecs, and 2 humans.

@spagia1 Yes, is a ps1 game
wow, you're using lute, the weakest character in the game...
Nice party i like more t260g Gen Lute Fei-on Meiling ;p
