SUBJECT OF E-MAIL: ANGLERS RIGHTS ALLIANCE
We are the Anglers Rights Alliance. We are a group composed of commercial and recreational fishermen, construction workers, attorneys, school teachers, engineers, and so much more. We are the people of North Carolina and our message is a simple one. We currently live in a state where the vast majority of a public trust resource (Southern Flounder) has been allocated to a for profit business which represents less than .4% of the people who have a vested interest in this resource. The result of this allocation is so extreme that this year, any fisherman who does not possess a commercial license, can catch a flounder that he/she will be legally required to return to the water and yet, that very same fish may be sold in a fish market the very next day for profit. This is clear violation of the constitution of North Carolina and we sincerely hope that this message finds you just as outraged as we are. Please contact Steve Brewster for details about this situation and specific legislative changes that we are seeking in order to remedy this issue. stbbrewster@gmail.com (910) 581-4415

In a effort to get the word out to a larger audience, have you thought about joining up with other local nc youtubers/podcasters and doing a joint show/video? For example Eastern Current, Halty Salty, 1Fish2Fish, Southern Reels, Fishermans Post, Salt Stong…etc.

I can't ask someone else to do what I'm doing but if any come forward wanting to help I'm all about it. Some people get very aggressive over this. I've been threatened a couple times. Others have had their houses shot at, cars keyed, etc. I have support from some of the channels listed but private support and public support are not the same thing. All I can do is worry about me and put the info out there in the world ya know. You can help a lot more than you think by sharing the videos and e-mailing and calling your reps.

Bull. Right when all this BS started happening years ago with flounder closures, I gave Yarborough, Kandie Smith, Don Davis, Lisa Barnes an earful. They've know about this. Yarborough is a good one to talk to and is on our side. So is Lisa Barnes. My actual local reps wouldn't give me the time of day.

Give me a call when you get a chance please. I don't pretend to know everything and while I have talked to dozens of people that have been in this fight for decades, I'm always looking for more perspectives. 910-581-4415
