I actually just saw King Crimson live for the first time recently, and it was the best concert I've ever been to. It was the 50th anniversary of In the court of the crimson king, and they played in a hundred year old opera house near my home. I was thinking I should have worn a suit, and then they came out in suits, and I knew I fucked up.
Same here, so cool that he's still keeping an eye on what they're doing. Imagine if that inspires him to write a new KC album, with FI influences... I doubt that it happens but one can dream.

Lit candle on an altar, which is behind you, with fans blowing, while drumming like a beast, probably isn't the smartest move Danny lol Especially surrounded by such high grade recording equipment 😉
In a near death experience last year, I saw 'The Great Turn Spiral'. Whilst un(?)conscious, I viewed my brain from the pineal area, witnessing it's electrical activity switch back on and 'rings of light' pulsed towards me through worm-holes in the vast system around my sight. I was suddenly sucked into one of the halos and travelled, spiralling and seemingly at light speed through a tunnel of 'absolute blackness'. I suddenly had 'thoughts' again and felt fear of continuing, which caused me to 'stop'...silent in the vast blackness becoming aware that I was in two separate places, existing in a dichotomy. Suddenly I recalled what existence was and found myself travelling forward again toward a pin-point of 'absolute brightness' that came closer and burned it's way through the black, revealing a manifestation of 'reality' that just looked as though it was on a screen. This grew, taking me in and as I emerged through it my conscious awareness merged back.. 'two rings of light became one'. My first thought and words were "This isn't real" then stood up and walked off painless after being seriously beaten for 10 minutes by a large group of assailants. I later realised that my consciousness was 'slammed' backward so abruptly that I wasn't ready for death but saw the edge of it; the point where consciousness and physical being intertwine, also like the artwork. My mind was a practical Universe in scope to my awareness and the worm-holes were 'my own optic nerves' - the 'rings/pulses of light' are light waves entering the brain, carrying information so shows us our hallucination of sorts... We are the double-slit experiment, as we collapse wave functions through our eyes, decoding the light.
I like to fantasize that my favorite artists create their music without even considering what their fans would think about it - that it's not even part of the equation. The fact that these guys are massive successes and were still worried that that we, their long-established fans, would outright reject this album all these years later, proves to me that they're the perfectionists I always knew they were.
