I am so excited to see Yvie Oddly. Based off the interviews and the looks I’ve seen. She’s just so interesting and is truly royal in my book. I’m so glad she’s on drag race because it gives another extravagant queen a spotlight.

Tainted Life - Totally! As much as pretty/glamorous/campy Drag is great, queens who shake things up, surprise and unsettle really speak to the roots and future of Drag. I’m super excited to see what she does.

I think drag race has picked up on the popularity of Dragula and wanted someone on the show to represent that. I know, for me, that is what really draws me to her. She really is the countervoice to a lot of these other 'polished' queens (not that there is anything wrong with being fishy). I really hope we get more of these queens and that they don't become just token queens, because I think diversity in drag artistry is also part of the need for diversity on the show.
Risa C. I agree. Also we’ve seen so many queens and now it’s just commonplace to be beautiful and perfect. I like to see a queen who works on her own costumes where you can see they are more than just a fierce shopper.
