5:38 - Moving the K to h6 is met by Qh7 mate rather than the discovered check! Still, thanks for the upload - it was nice to have a refresher course on the Greek Gift (last time I looked at this was in Vukovic's book on sacrifices).
Brilliantly instructive video, Judith! One question: [22:55] After black's Rc4?! it seems white's best response is Rd4 (rather than h5+). Also, it seems that Qe7 is better for black than Rc4... What do you think?
We're glad you enjoyed the video! 22.Rd4! is a better move than 22.h5+, but it's very inhuman. When you are attacking, you concentrate on the opposite king and want to play forceful moves. Also, you don't want to exchange pieces. That's the reason 22.Rd4 is very difficult to find and 22.h5+ is easier. 21...Qe7 22.e6! is a very good answer, and probably winning. If Black takes with 22...fxe6, then 23.Qg3 wins, as White is threatening a discovered check and 24.Rxe6+, winning the queen.
Dear Susan, I understand white must win here,but my ideas black must resist what they can. Here black loose without any defense. Black can play 1.f4 Rxf4 2. Bxf4 Kf5....
all the courses from susan polgar are reallly great. calm voice, clear examples, its by far the best internet chess courses you can find (and buy)
I have ordered training from Susan. She is great. I just ordered club player manifesto. Allot to take in for a beginner. Thank you for great effort.

“My great predecesessors”? Wonderful word ;-)
But thank you very much for this most instructive video!
¡Thank you Lau!
Please one moment. After the time: 24:39. 1.Rd2 I think for black is better play 1...Re4 2. Rxe4 de4 3. Rxb2 Bd5 4. e7 Re8 5. Nh6+ Kh7 6. Nf5 Be6 7. Nd6 Rxe7 8. Nxe4 f5 9. Ng3 f4 10. Ne2 Rf7 or 9. Ng5+ Kh6 10. Nxe6 Rxe6 =
1...Re4 loose after 2.Rxe4 dxe4 3.Nd6 and is winning for white
Okey: You are right. Thanks for explanation.:)
edmundas jaunishkis haha it's funny how you put so much effort into a long chain of moves and iChess just refutes your first move
edmundas jauniškis Always check your lines with an engine if you’re gong to analyze in depth
Dear Susan, what must white play 1...Re4 2. Rxe4 dxe4 3. Nd6 after 3....Nc4. What is your opinion?
In that minute please?
Time 24:42.
4.Nxc4 and white is winning
Yes. Thanks.
15:55 g6 Bg5 then Qh5 what can black do then?
Bh6 and white might be dead lost 🤓
Nice.video.judit.
Thx! But it's Susan!

Time 6min 55 sec. Black can play after f4+ R x f4 Qe6+ Kd4 B x f4 black Qf6...
Why not 1.f4 Rxf4 2.Bxf4 Kxf4 3.Ne6 wins the queen
Dear Susan, I understand white must win here,but my ideas black must resist what they can. Here black loose without any defense. Black can play 1.f4 Rxf4 2. Bxf4 Kf5....
do you have a video for the f pawn pitfall?
where are you from dear??
at 19:18 what would white do after fxe6?
Qh8+ Ke7 and now Qxg7 or Rxe6 wins for white.
19:13 what if black takes the pawn?
1...fxe6 2.Qh8+ Ke7 3.Qxg7+ Kd6 4.Nf7+ and white has the upper hand!
@23:33 why not NxQ..RxQ; NxB..NxR; Nd6 forking two rooks
Rxf2 Nxc4 dxc4 Rxd1 Rxa2 and black is a lot of pawns up
@22:41 if Rd4
Rxd4 and white must play cautelously
