- There is a lot to talk about this week since I missed an upload last week! I will start with a little tour around the nursery to show you the new summer crop of trees including hydrangeas, fruit trees, pretty weeping redbuds and an Annabelle Hydrangea flower bigger than my hand! While I walk around the nursery I will discuss the mid-July gardening to-do's and finish off back at the Owl Barn Market to talk about the dreaded Japanese beetles, what is fresh in the Owl Barn market and all of the details for our 10th annual Blueberry Bash here at the nursery on Saturday July 24th!

Dog vomit fungus… thank you, looked it up and now I know our neighborhood cat isn’t leaving me gifts in my flower bed 😂

We have allot of Virginia creeper vines in our garden. The Japanese beatles seem to flock to that vine ..but mostly stay off our other plants, roses etc. Are there other plants that make good "sacrificial" benefits in the garden? ( Our Lupine seem to do this for aphids too. Its gross! But at least they stay off my other plants!)
I actually have wild roses that they flock to back in the wooded part of my landscape and that really helps!
