The overheating problem you see here is likely due to using a tuning box and not a proper remap. Tuning boxes tell your engine to add more boost and advance the timing, they don't accurately readjust the cooling. B58 engines have a very efficient water to air intercooler which is capable of dealing with

Ie oil temps as high as 150°, which could never be achieved by a stock engine, so it's clear the engine has been tampered with

@@993outlaweasier said than done. The ecu’s are locked and you have to mail your ECU off to be unlocked for several times what a piggyback box costs. Also, you would need to disclose to the dealer that you have unlocked and tuned the ECU as their maintenance work can re-lock and reset the ECU.

I drove both hard back to back and also both on the highway and in some mild city traffic. VERY different cars. M3 is much more firm and tight and m340i is more comfortable but not TOO soft. The 340 I drove also had the m-sport suspension option and performance brake and tire package and it felt like a perfect daily. Also the m3 was going to be $30k more and 30k will buy a TON of performance parts for the 340 with plenty left over. I went to the dealer fully intending to order an M3 but ended up spec’ing a fully loaded 340 and still came in 20 grand cheaper vs the M3 we spec’d.
@@1baby Soooo plot twist. My M340i I had ordered got stuck in shipping purgatory in Mexico with no delivery date in sight. I ended up finding an LCI X3M Competition for about the same price as the M340 was going to be and I absolutely love the thing. It's a savage but the extra space in the back is super nice for this dad who really appreciates the extra space for music equipment, hauling kids sports stuff, etc. I did a 6 month ownership review on my channel. And no the ride is not harsh. After getting the michelin pilot 4S's, the ride is nice. It's not super plush or soft like the M40 X3 I drove but i'ts not uncomfortable like the non-LCI X3M's.
Another UK car that has been “tuned” and another overheat 🙄 when will UK owners realise when you add power you need to add cooling too? Tuning philosophy is to make a car balanced.

I am considering buying a BMW F80 LCI and G20 PRE lci whis car is for this better in your opinion?

I used to have 335i e92 and i see big difference between this cars. M3 E92 have very good feeling and in my opinion is very good track tool. My doubts would be dispelled by a test drive on the track, but unfortunately no one will provide me with such a car for such tests, so I have to rely on the opinions of others...

That engine needs work with oil temps like that. Yes I know it’s on the Nurburgring but still your temps shouldn’t be getting to that.

Exhaust/Inrake are not mods... It just to free up HP from the engine that originaly came out with. Same can be said for tires.
Any turbo cars will mostly get overheating issues 😂 unless it has a excellent cooling system, it won’t be an issue.
