This video makes me want to put on some classical music, build a steam box even though I don't have any projects that require one and then have a cigar. I've never smoked before but for some reason this video is tempting me
Great video, thanks. Did you consider or put in any sort of pressure relief valve in the box? I’ve wondered if it is needed and seen conflicting approaches. Thanks again.
Thanks for the video! How did the spray foam and the insulation board handle the heat? Have you used it several times? I’m thinking of building something similar.
I'm sorry, Hadassah. They bounce because I am doing this in my spare time. Weather changes a lot here. When it's too cold or too wet, I have to find something to do inside. I built the steam box when I did, not because I needed it right then, but because the days were too short and too wet to keep working outside consistently. Other times, it's freezing or snowing, so I had to stop concrete work. Check back in 1 year, and I should have a start to finish video up, with everything sequenced in order.
I'll admit that that is the nicest steam box I've seen on UA-cam.
Thanks:-)
I was like what the heck is he doing the whole time, but that AHA moment at the end really was the best 😆
Wow! Another skill! This man's bag of tricks is deep.

You're going really well. Greetings from Turkiye!
Hi from the USA. Thank you!
Nice!

@cdanieldewey9034 The condensation drain line on the bottom of the box keeps pressure from building up:-)
Do you have the supplies you used to build this?
Like a list of what you used and dimensions?
Thanks!
Fantastic steam box! You’ve inspired me to build one during my time off. What material did you use for the metal tube?
It was a 12-inch heating duct vent.
Looks amazing so far!
Thank you!
Nice one
I suspect that you built the best steam box in your state!
Thanks:-)
cant wait for more videos!! longer ones plssss!!!!
Thanks! I should have another one out in the next week.
How long did you soak the wood before steaming? How many hours/inch of thickness of soaking and how many during steaming?
@chaseholladay3781 I soaked it overnight. Steam it roughly 1 hour per inch of thickness.

You're welcome. I've used it many times now. The spray foam has held up great. The pink rigid foam has not. But it's directly exposed to the steam.
Thanks!@@Odd-Lots
This is so awesome! I need longer vids uwu
Thank you. The next one will be long. I hope it doesn't bore you:-)

A roll of fiberglass insulation would also have worked around the pipe.
Yep. That would have been cheaper, too.
The name of the music please.
I’m not happy which how your videos are going. They bounce around and you can’t get a good look at the process.

I’d would love to see the ending of your hobbit house that you are building for your children.
@@Hadassah-KaquoliMReno Me too!😆 It's taking way longer than I thought it would. It might end up being for my grandchildren 😂
