"I am really digging this, but I could have used a little more "Cowbell". Really explore the studio space this time. I've gotta have more COWBELL Baby!" Christopher Walken.
This song always made me stop and think! It's a true, hard core song... that goes down deep, right to your Soul! Talks about the inevitable... reality is... we're all going to die. 'Don't let your fears be greater that your faith... Don't Fear The Reaper!' Thank you for sharing! 💖
It's the most hauntingly beautiful song EVER about something that is as natural as birth and the silliness of fearing it. Also about the possibility of a loved one who has passed on coming to comfort and assist you on your journey to the hereafter. It's a masterpiece.
Here is a controversial ideas for The Stand movie / TV series I'm hearing about being made. The setting for the outbreak would be an American getting out of a lab in a Chinese Province getting on a flight and spreading the virus (Captain Trips?) In America while a Mandarin or Chinese version of Don't Fear The Reaper is playing thought the event as it happens.
Yes! The Stand was a damn good miniseries. Remember later on molly ringwald puts a record of Crowded House's Don't Dream It's Over. Another catchy song.
Love the new extension of this iconic classic. Trivia: BOC wrote and recorded three songs with science fiction writer Michael Moorcock. They were “The Great Sun Jester,” “Black Blade,” and “Veteran of the Psychic Wars.”
This tune NEVER needed more cowbell-all it needed was the MAGIC TOUCH of DJDiscoCatV2! You didn’t just remix this one D-Cat-you REJUVENATED this one! Another GREAT treat from D-Cat!!!
Great song! Great remix and audio magic by the one and only DiscoCat. I'll never listen to this song without thinking of the opening credits of the 1994 miniseries "Stephen King's The Stand". As the opening credits are seen on the TV screen, the camera pans all over a government laboratory with all the scientists and technicians having died from exposure to the newly-created superflu known as Captain Trips and an Army soldier wakes up his wife (played by Hope Marie Carlton from the Andy Sidaris sex-drenched action flicks) and they light a shuck out of there and inadvertently spread the superflu, and as they flee there's a crow walking on the ground; you'll have to see the miniseries for yourself, as it does justice to King's novel. Blue Oyster Cult's song is a perfect fit. Don't fear the reaper, indeed.
I’m happy you brought back the ability for us to comment on your videos as well as continue to search for what songs to play next. Not sure why UA-cam had that
Yeah, when I noticed that the safe for kids designation blocked all the comments, I decided to make them not safe for kids, even though there is nothing inherently unsafe about them.
Great music from Blue Oyster Cult (Don’t fear the reaper)(Come on baby taking my hand) (great classic) C Bell 🔔She has taking his hand loving two is one she ran to him
We the fans and me love your song Don't Fear The Reaper Blue Oyster Cult your songs your voice your music from the fans from around the world and me Besitos Blue Oyster Cult + Don't Fear The Reaper 1976 Extended Meow Mix
I don't know how you did this. But I dig it! That bass riff at 2:34 - WHERE did THAT come from?! Awesome enhancement to the song. And that finale! Sweet.
I got the fever and that fever is for more cowbell. I just love that Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher Walken for sure in my mind now and forever and ever!
I've had this song stuck in my head thinking of the opening of the Stand and whats going on in China with the corona virus. If you think it is a natural virus I have land east of Florida for sale. Oh by the way MORE cow bell!
Blue Oyster Cult are always awesome...but the way this remix was done should have been the way Blue Oyster Cult should have done the song originally and this mix the mud was taken out and you can hear everything better well done
love your work but i have to say i don't care for this remix. this song is perfect already. it doesn't need to be altered. Burning For You, however, I wouldn't mind so much (though i haven't checked to see if you've done it).
This songs takes me back to when bands were putting out songs that made you think back to a time and place in your life .I love this song.
" I've got a fever and the only prescription is more Cowbell "

Be Blessed Always! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
As a veteran, and when I was in war going out the wire I learned to love this song, although the younger soldiers didn't.
Which war are you talkin about Pedro.
@@daytripper9222 Cowbell War of 1978
@@daytripper9222 hopefully not Nam. It was over when this song came out and would make Pedro a liar.
@@jona5517 That's true Jon. My brother was in the Vietnam war, and you are correct it was long over when this came out.
@@jona5517probably Desert Storm?
I absolutely love this extended mix!

This band is so criminally underrated. The Revölution by Night is my favourite album from BÖC
Back in 1978 and sneaking into Lehigh University frat parties on "The Hill."

I've never feared the reaper, only the path that led me to him
It's the most hauntingly beautiful song EVER about something that is as natural as birth and the silliness of fearing it. Also about the possibility of a loved one who has passed on coming to comfort and assist you on your journey to the hereafter. It's a masterpiece.
This song version still rocks 2024 and is a perfect tune around Halloween time!
My mum remembers hearing this a lot back in the day!! She was soooo lucky to have experienced the golden age of music 🗿
everytime I hear this song, I think to the opening of THE STAND when this is playing....

This is about the Grim Reaper!!!.... like in that movie 🍿🍿🍿🍿...the Fog...?
The beginning of this song reminds me of Terran's theme song. lol
This was also used in the original Halloween film with Janie Lee Curtis.
I can see Bucks Bucks Ritchie blackmore influence in that solo
I've had this song stuck in my head thinking of the opening of the Stand and whats going on in China with the corona virus. If you think it is a natural virus I have land east of Florida for sale. Oh by the way MORE cow bell!
