E-tuning our Subaru Legacy GT project w/ Baderbuilt (E-tuning is basically a driving scavenger hunt)

- Let's move forward with E-tuning out Subaru Legacy GT! The last video ended a bit abruptly, but we got everything figured out and now it's time to go on a scavenger hunt to get everything needed for our first E-tuning revision. This time around we need a 35mph log, 60mph log and a 25% throttle log from 1st - 4th up to 4k rpm. Needless to say, it was easier said than done. I recommend anyone E-tuning in a busy city to give up on trying to log during daylight and just go out at night, it proved to be much easier. Excited to continue getting this car dialed in and be able to open the car up fully, but we may be looking at swapping the transmission sooner than we had originally planned.

I've alway been curious on the while E tuning process, other youtubers just talk about it but don't bother to show the whole how-to's, and step by steps needed. But my dude you're killing it with the POV's👍🏼👍🏼!

Always better to E tune with a puppy. Phoenix looked like he had fun minus not stopping for treats. Have to grin every time I hear that noise. Not every car can giggle. Glad you got the logs.

Gets interesting. I'd like to get into tuning a bit more in the future to be able to show the process on it all.
Before diving into the world of machining I was a detailer for too many years. Front windows were the worst 😆. I've E tuned 2 of my cars and self tuned the JB4 on my 22 and have found the best places locally for safe pulls/logs haha.
Front windshields should be left to a contortionist 🙃 these next sets of logs are going to be real interesting. This whole car feels bad aside from the engine 🤣

Great content man. I feel your pain with the 5eat. Sometimes mine shifts so hard it feels like a mule kicking the back of my seat. Hopefully in spring I can either swap it out for a manual or try replacing the valvebody.
I found replacement solenoids, so I may look into doing that on the one in the built transmission. I don't think they had really tested the component when they upgraded. Sometimes multiple flushes back to back can improve things, cheapest attempt for sure, but most 5eats I've dealt with have some time of hang up or issue once they get above 100k. Can be electrical as well so they're a little tough to properly diagnose.
@@MatlasDI Yea I've done what I can. Drain and fills until fluid looked brand new, relearns, changed filter behind headlight. Hoping a fresh valvebody will do the trick. Sure wish there was a solid guide on manual swapping these * hint hint *
@@85mmonroe I should have one at some point, but the outback will be running haltech, so it's a little different approach, but I can at least touch base on the process during and I'll likely swap the legacy as well. 👌
Bro I have an etune on my wrx from torqued performance but I’ve been wanting to hit up bader for a tune. Problem is my car is catless and air pumps deleted and I know you can’t turn codes off anymore. I wonder if you can tune out the code but it still shows as a code or something
Tough with updating things. That's why we decided to make this one a full emissions car. Could run a non-fowler/ mini catted O2 housing if it came down to it.
