🧍‍♀️ What is a Maguada or a Harimaguadas? 👭🏾 It is the term that was used to designate the young Canarian dedicated to worship in the time before the Conquest of the Canary Islands. Harimaguada would be the woman in charge of educating the maguadas. They took care of worship and prayer, with songs. In these places to cut and dress skins, weave reeds and palm leaves, sew tamarcos, pottery and the techniques of body adornment and the use of paints.
