I love how in those kind of comics, humans are considered such a terrifict animal wolves cowers at their names. And dogs knows to use it at their advantage.
Colorado State University's website actually says "Wolves are generally afraid of people and will avoid them, so staying as close to dogs as possible will make it less likely that wolves will attack dogs." 😂😂😂 It wouldn't be surprising though... humans have hunted wolves for so long that they are basically the monsters in their darkest dreams. Imagine an animal that defies all the laws of nature (which you know of), which can make loud noises that kill from a distance where no other can, and can unite itself with metal monsters that cannot be hurt by teeth or claw. Not sure if wolves are intelligent enough to feel fear at something that defies the laws of nature that they know, but if they can talk in this comic they likely would be 😂
@JWaD-b5d That's not what genre is... Lord of the Rings and D&D is part of the fantasy genre. They have elves, swords and magic but that's where the similarities end. They're in the same genre. This is just beat for beat copied from Microfaun's in plot and writing. It is dangerously close to plagiarism and in fact it might actually be plagiarism just with a different art style.
"They think that the night belongs to them. Let them. But this hill....... This hill will never be theirs." - Anatolian shepherd. That's one of the most badass lines I've ever heard. ❄️❄️❄️
My uncle in Turkey has one of those dogs, to guard his sheeps. These Dogs are the most majestic dogs I have ever seen. They as big as humans if they stand and has a stronger bite than a lion. But even if they are big and mighty, they are loyal and wouldn't harm a single soul if you don't train them specific for that. The dog of my uncle is the personification of "good boi".
To the wild animals, humans rank somewhere between Eldritch monsters and dangerous Elves. Capricious things that can destroy or help seemingly on a whim beyond understanding. It would make sense that domesticated animals, who serve humans, would invoke them as wards against the wild.
Sheep farmers are very protective of their live stock even the one in area where wolfs are common, while wolfs are apart of the endanger species that is not gonna stop someone from wanting revenge even if that happens to be a loyal pet that gets killed. Sure farmers will report these kinds of things, but what happens to the ones who don't report it and take matters into their own hands.
True, but the dog's fearless attitude certainly makes them stop and think. While wolves are wild predators that hunt and kill to survive, thet do so taking calculated risks, since anything preventing them from hunting would be a death sentence. A shepherd dog on the other hand is a crazy man-made mutation that has almost no self-preservation, it will fight to the bitter end even if it's a lost cause. That is an anomaly from the wolves perspective, enough to make them think twice. The farmer does not make them think, he just makes them run. They can kill the dog if they're desperate enough. They can't kill an armed man no matter what they try. It's just out of their league.
The great Pyrenees is much larger then the maremma. In terms of weight, great Pyrenees males are 100 pounds and up,and females are 85 pounds and up. Maremma sheepdog males are 77 to 100 pounds, and females are 66 to 88 pounds

I’m reality the dog would be dead but the Shepard would be loyal to the end as always. Larges wolves such as Timbers can weigh up to 200 pounds and there is also an extinct wolf species called the kenaf peninsula wolf it could weigh up to 250. Mackenzie valley timber wolves are absolutely amazing creatures. Also bro said u want an easy meal as if you ain’t gettin fed by humans XD the wolves gotta hunt to survive.
@ realistically a dog can kill a wolf depending on the wolf subspecies. A dog can kill maybe a small wolf species but no way a dog can kill a 200 pound mackenzie valley timber wolf on its own without help. And theres NO way a dog can kill a wolf pack. Don’t compare wolves to coyotes because coyotes are MUCH smaller in weight and muscle ect.
@@flshstlcks yes I agree however if a dog can do that and say by estimation two-three coyotes are equal to one wolf id still say the dog would be able to take down at least three wolves in such a situation
@@zombieman3404 coyotes are not typically true pack hunters, they are just opportunistic. Wolves on the other hand are generally able to overpower a single shepherd dog excluding the larger ones , but they are also smart enough to just mob a large animal if they detect that it’s too large for one of them to deal with. Adding onto that farmers are often forced to give even larger dogs spiked collars to protect their herding dogs since wolves tend to go for the throat. Large shepherd breeds are effective for warding off predators but they typically are not the sole source of defense for sheep since depending on location, the residential predators may be too much for them.
