One of the best movie scenes ever is in Casino when Pesci meets up with DeNiro in the desert to tell him off. His tirade is legendary "you only exist out here because of me", then drives away literally leaving DeNiro in a cloud of dust lmfao 🤣
With the tiles on the fire, why don't you start from the outside, then cut the middle one above the fire down equally on both sides, so it fits, it'll look fine. Ace vlog by the way, creased me up when James said "are you coming on to me?"..... love it.

Tiles usually have grouting space between them! I reckon if you left half a centimetre between the title stickers then they might fit better x
LEAVE A GAP BETWEEN EACH TILE AROUND THE FIREPLACE! To make it look like grout. You should have measured the gap you had left at the end when you stuck them across the top, then divided it between the amount of tiles you had across the top. That will give you the gap measurement between each tile. then, just carry it on down each side. DO IT AGAIN, it looked fab!

tiles. what you should do is leave a gap between each tile. that represents the grout. on the top put all the tiles together and when you left with the little gap, measure it and divide it to make equal gaps between the top tiles. then do the same down the sides x. Also cus they fit perfect on each side, just leave a gap in the top middle tiles and going down the side!
I think for the first time I agree with James over Clair's placing of the tiles - the tiles should have been started at the middle of the fire surround... and it's the Sistine Chapel, not the sixteenth 😂

What if you had gone up each side as planned. Then, started in the middle with a partial cut out the middle bit of the star, and then continued on along right and left with the full tiles?

For your garage floor, use a cleaner called Gunk
Tiling a fireplace is quite easy, especially if you're using mosiac tiles you can be really creative. They even come in sheets so you don't have to each individual one. Once you get the hang of it you'll be cladding everything. But Fireplaces are easiest place to start. You're good at painting so it's well within your capability. The stickers aren't very good tbh. The cutting tool required to get the right sizes are cheap and easy to use.

The centre tile should be the top of the tile , the point. Work in from either side and fill the gap in the middle with that. It's the only way and woulds still look cool
