While I was stationed in England, I ran Mini Miglia in 1993 and 94 with the Clive Trickey Mini. What a load of fun, I raced with a lot of great people. I still own the Mini, but haven't run it for nearly 20 years. Ron Graham
3 tyres on the ground while the 4th is just hanging out in these high speed corners is quite a sight to see. This was the best 10 laps of racing I've seen in a long time.

For the first time in my life, I can see an actual exiting racing. Beautiful cars, drifting, speeding up in a very noticeable way, ups-downs, everything so great. Thank you for sharing this excellent video.
Still some of the best races out there mini races. More proof that faster cars don't make better racing. F1 should have mandatory kart, mini and formula ford races throughout the season. I'd watch those 3 and give up the rest of the season.
Some of these drivers must have been racing Minis for over 50 years. I used to watch SCCA racing at Riverside in the 60s and 70s. Minis were always among my favorites. Good show.
This is what's annoying about touring cars and mini's. F1 fans would be loosing it over 1.2 second gap on the last lap, and now there's me thinking of this...
Beautiful classic racing - remembering seeing Min's and other 70's - 80's classic on Grandstand - MotorX and legendary commentary by Legend - Murray Walker.
Great racing... always a joy to watch... They are all great drivers...so close...so exciting... Mini's always a pleasure. One wonders with all that bouncing....that they could be mixing a cake 🍰 for their friends...or the Winner.. Who bakes the best cake...😅🍰👍👍
I remember mini's racing on the short tracks of Southern California back in the 60's. Even then, they put on one hell of a good show (no pun intended).
Wow now this is absolutely kool as heck. Crazy cars. Lol. Very interesting as they are so vibrantly colored. Very different. Very new for me. Track is beautiful. Tysm for information on the cars. Helps me out a bit. 😎
Small cars with no aero, no assists and thin crap tyres provides far more entertainment then any race car of the past 20 years. Why don't modern race championships ban the technology that make cars stick like glue to the track?
Writing as someone who was a dedicated F1 fan from 1963 to 1995, I totally agree. Modern F1 is utter rubbish, as are many other examples of current motorsport. True racing belongs to classes such as those shown here.
Real racing - reminiscent of Pukekohe NZ in the 60's - Rodger Anderson, Reg Cook, Alan Boyle, Barry Phillips, Rex Hart, Brian Innes, Rex Hamlin, Clyde Collins, Mary Carney, Angus Fogg, Peter Sharp, Rod Collingwood, Murray Charles - wow, those were the days, five abreast, a different leader on every lap, crowd on their feet - not the fastest racing , but the most exciting - Pukekohe & Bay Park, used to attend every race
Wouldn't they get more grip with a little less rear roll stiffness? PS, how could anyone downvote this video? Great stuff and great sportsmanship! Not like the demo derby that is spec Miata et. al.
They'll all be quick enough, but they've all been driving rear wheel drive for their entire lives. Give them a field of Lotus Elan's. That will sort the boys from the men... provided you can find 20 that are working... at the same time!
@@poruatokin I agree with the issue of technology, but don't you agree that the clue is surely in the name of the sport...motor RACING? There are technology fests elsewhere, and in reality the average enthusiast / spectator is unlikely to be able to tell whether a car is two seconds or so faster or slower per lap....although they will probably be able to tell whether they are seeing 'racing' or not. Besides, doesn't your observation suggest that the drivers are of secondary importance to the technical genius of the cars?

Compared to modern day dustcart-sized SUVs, these look like little Dinky toys. But they are so much more fun to drive - say one life time Mini owner, still driving my Vizard spec 1400cc machine.

What about Minis vs Mustangs???

More driver against driver

What a show ! I didn't know this championship, I'll keep watching it. ^_^
in Japan, mini racing is loved by many people. someday I want to watch mini racing in UK

I saw them at Orange Show, Saugus, and Irwindale back then. 😆
More action in a 10 lap Mini race than in most F1 races. This makes me want to buy an old mini and go racing.

Is it me or are the smaller cars more entertaining to watch these days?

British Club Racing is the best in the world - by a margin. The drivers, the circuits and the way the MSA look after it. And especially the Marshalls.
GREAT RACE 👍👍👍✌️
These out did the btcc! when i watched it live. They should have guest stuff like this more often, than having what they have on the package.
