yeah i was so sad when it ended on a cliffhanger and then there wasn't anything after. I feel like series should make an ending that makes it seem that there COULD be more or that is the "end" just in case the show is cancelled.
like i understand that the "magic" was expensive to make/create but like that was in 2011/2012 and now its "easier" to produce magic or use cgi and not only that, if they truly found the location expensive to film, they could just find another location to film it at.
What’s fascinating is at this shows worst it still performed better than 3/4 of the programming on the CW that’s out now. They were thirsty for railings then streaming happened lol.
I like when Cassie learns that she's a witch & adam shows Cassie how to control her powers & after Cassie unleashs her dark magic to kill a witch hunter & Cassie starts using her dark magic alot & Cassie told Diana that they are sisters cuz they have the same father & when Amelia was stripped of her powers Amelia really should have told Cassie that she & Cassie's grandmother are witches & Cassie was a witch cause their ancestors were witches & they even escaped the salem witch trails back in 1692
Most likely canceled for the same reason lol shows are canceled didn’t have good ratings and remember just cause you know you have people that love the show don’t mean if they had enough people to like the show
The show had decent ratings so it wasn't that. I heard somewhere the show bankrupted itself. The locations and everything were too expensive. A lot of Christian groups said the show was Satanic and put a lot of pressure on the CW network during the time so that could be why too.
If season 2 had happened, they would likely have gotten around to using solo magic while the Circle was rebound. Maybe the Circle would also rebind on its own. Funny thought
They canceled because of ratings I mean not all the time I know but the most the time yeah they don’t have enough readings to keep a show on air they’re not gonna renew it
for my taste, the series was better than the books. main story is still the same, but the details differ quite a lot. mom didn't die. and when i remember right, the books were missing the "dark side" of cassie. but I've read the books ages ago ....
@@hypercanehazard1843they do have the dark side and dark magic but that’s much later in the book series. the tv show is basically a condensed version of the books but with less depth.
Books were far better to me. I still own my copies of the books from the early 90s when they were released. Only the first three books (The Initiation, The Captive and The Power) were written by L.J. Smith. The ones after that were ghostwritten, so they aren't technically canon. The books have some similarities but are quite different. Books are set in New Salem, Mass. In the books there are more people in the Circle (seven girls and five guys total). Melissa and Jake are not in the books. Nick doesn't die in the books. Diana is not Cassie's blood related sister. Faye is much more "bad" in the books and Diana is much more "good" in the books (they are set up to be like light and dark). Diana is a blonde in the books. Cassie doesn't have as much of a backbone in the books (until the last one in the trilogy). Cassie doesn't really go "dark" like she did in the TV series. There is no binding the Circle in the books. No demons in the books. Things like gemstones and herbs are used far more in the books - it has more of a wiccan feel than the TV series. I could keep going, but those are the high points. I'd say the books are worth a read if you liked the show.
Such an incredible show. Needed to be renewed
m c most definitely
Darkmagicianmagi the cast was amazing!

Why was this canceled? I loved this show. Every good magic show gets canceled now

I was waiting for the season 2 never happened
Cassie Faye and jake along with Diana are my favorites 👍
can you bring Lilith's powers from Shadowhunters?
i really hated that they left it on a cliffhanger.
Can you do one from each member of the circle?
If season 2 had happened, they would likely have gotten around to using solo magic while the Circle was rebound. Maybe the Circle would also rebind on its own. Funny thought
Can you bring more of chiling adventures of sabrina, like zelda and hilda
CW only can renew childish mediocre shit, when a show starts to get mature and good they cancel
They canceled because of ratings I mean not all the time I know but the most the time yeah they don’t have enough readings to keep a show on air they’re not gonna renew it

Does anyone know if the books are similar to the tv show? I wanted to read them because the story continues more with the books but they’re quite old.
