Keep in mind that the seventy weeks were determined upon "thy people and thy holy city", and that by the end of the seventy weeks, the city and the sanctuary would be destroyed.
This was fulfilled in A.D. 70.
We are not waiting today for the temple to be rebuilt today,
simply so that it can be destroyed, as it has already happened!
Also, by the end of this period, the 'sacrifice and the oblation' (Dan 9:27) were to cease.
This, too, was accomplished in A.D. 70.
We are not waiting today for the sacrifices to start again, simply so that they can stop,
    as this has already happened!
In further confirmation, Daniel 9:24 lists six specific things that would be accomplished by the end of this period, all of which have been fulfilled.
In confirmation of the fulfillment, it reads,
"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to:"
    1. "Finish the transgression," -
This was fulfilled. (Luke 11:47-51; Matt 23:29-32; Matt 21:33-45)
    2. "Make an end of sins," -
This was fulfilled. (John 1:29; Matt 1:21; Acts 10:43; Hebrews 9:26)
    3. "Make reconciliation for iniquity," -
This was fulfilled. (II Cor 5:18-21; Hebrews 2:17; Col 1:20; Romans 5:10)
    4. "Bring in everlasting righteousness," -
This was fulfilled. (Romans 3:25,26; Hebrews 9:12; II Thess 2:16; II Cor. 9:9)
    5. "Seal up vision and prophecy," -
This was fulfilled. (Hebrews 1:1-2; John 1:1; II Peter 1:19-21)
    6. "Anoint the most holy (or holy place),"-
This was fulfilled. (Matthew 3:15-17; Luke 4:18; Acts 4:26,27; 10:38)
Interestingly, Christ, in response to the question of how many times a man should forgive his brother, responded by saying, "until seventy times seven," which is the exact amount of time in Daniel's seventy weeks. (490)
The implication being that there was an end to Christ's patience with His nation.
Christ fulfilled the covenant that they broke well over 490 'times'.
That is not necessarily to say that Christ was saying after 'seventy sevens' we should not forgive, but that, simply, "seventy weeks (were) determined upon (Daniel's) people."
Therefore, we can see that the desolation of Jerusalem in A.D. 70
fulfilled the prophecies of Daniel chapter nine, against the perverse generation that rejected the Lord and his Anointed.
Christ judged the nation with desolation and took away the kingdom of God and gave it to a nation bringing forth fruits (Matthew 21:43), which is the nation of believers (Christians).
The "days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled" spoken of can be no other than the fulfillment of Daniel's seventy weeks with the Desolation of Jerusalem in A.D. 70.
Therefore, the desolation of Palestine in A.D. 66-73 was the fulfillment of Daniel's 70th week, and the end of any temporal 'Nation of God'.

It is fulfilled prophecy and the implications thereof that requires the attention of believers, not a eschatology imposed on our day for a fulfillment in our future. All biblical prophecy has already been fulfilled and the prophetic office ceased 20 centuries ago. Proverbs 13:12

What is this righteousness emphasized by the Lord Jesus? This righteousness is Christ lived out from within us to be the expression of God and the kingdom of God. When we have this righteousness, we surely have God’s reign. We have God’s ruling, administration, and government. This means that we have the kingdom with peace and joy in our daily life, family life, and church life.
Again and again I would emphasize the fact that the new covenant ministry is a ministry of the Spirit and of righteousness. I never grow tired of repeating this. This new covenant ministry is the ministry in the Lord’s recovery. In the recovery we only minister Christ as the life-giving Spirit and as our living righteousness. If we read 3:8, 9, and 16 through 18, we can see clearly that eventually all the ministers of the new covenant become one with their ministry. This means that the ministers are the ministry. Their ministry is what they are, not merely what they do or the work they accomplish. The very being of the new covenant ministers is their ministry.
The fact that the ministers and the ministry are one is fully proved in 2 Corinthians 4. In this chapter Paul gives us a strong indication that the ministry is just what the new covenant ministers are. Actually, the ministers in chapter four are not working; they are simply living. Hence, their living is their working. Apart from their living, there is no need for them to do any work, for their living is their work, their ministry. Their inner being is actually their ministry. What counts in the new covenant ministry is what the ministers of the new covenant are in their living and in their being. We must be in the recovery of this ministry. We must live this kind of life and be in a church that has this ministry. Furthermore, we must minister this to others not mainly by what we do, but primarily by what we are and by the way we live. This is the ministers with their ministry of the new covenant. Truly the ministers and the ministry are one. (Life-Study of 2 Corinthians, Chapter 30)

Both first and second comings of Christ were completed in the first century
as they were prerequisites necessary for the eternal salvation of the soul.
"ALL things which were written, as our Lord Jesus put it in Luke 21:20-(22),
MUST, MUST, MUST have included Daniel's 70 weeks of Daniel 9:24.
According to Jesus, in Matthew 16:26-28,
His second coming was in the first century, and some of them would see it in their lifetimes (20 centuries ago).
To teach that the second coming of Christ has yet to have occurred, is biblically inexcusable and unnecessarily discouraging.
It just doesn't line up with Scripture.

@@georgebentonjr3876 Well, the prerequisite necessary for the eternal salvation of the soul is this: "I am with you all the days until the consummation of the age." The second coming has nothing to do with the "salvation of the soul" in your concept. Read Hebrews 9:28. Care less for the Scripture and more for your spirit.

The consummation of the age was in reference to the Old Covenant Aeon with Moses and the Law as mediator. The New Covenant Aeon has no such features as end times or last days. Christ Priesthood has no end.
The "last days" or "end-times" never apply to the New Covenant Age, but to the Old Covenant Age and it ran from the earthly ministry of Jesus to the Parousia. It's consummate end was marked by the destruction of Old Covenant, apostate, first century Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D.
In other words, the great tribulation of Matthew 24:21 was fulfilled about 40 years later with the destruction Old Covenant Jerusalem and the Temple.
Daniel and Revelation and all the Parables Jesus taught have already been fulfilled.
