Much love! xx, Lauren
Thank you! I am now playing in tune. I have suffered for approximately 45 years with not really knowing even how to tune the violins God has allowed me to own. I saw just the other day a.vidio which has changed my life. Apparently these electronic tuners get confused by the drone strings as they sympathetically vibrate along with the A string. The host of this vidio suggested simply slack off on all strings but the one you are tuning. I tryed it and Eureka! Epiphany! Thank you God I am playing in tune. I still will from time to time tune by ear and perfect fifths however I am able to manage my tuning now much more swiftly. Thank you for the turkey trot, I was not exactly matching you note for note but was harmonizing with you and the music was sweet! I'm playing at A=438hz. I don't know If I have to slide up or down the fingerboard to match you, I just do it! I will watch this vidio.again maybe later this evening or tomorrow for a recapp. I thoroughly enjoyed jamming with you! I have been playing Daniel Boon reel this morning. I'm so stoked I can hardly contain myself. I sound like a fiddler now, possibly a violinist eventually if I keep practicing. My poor mother wanted so much for me to master my great grandfathers violin which I inherited. I can remember being out on the patio with music spread in front of me and I was completly bewildered. I kid you not. I could not live up to my grandfather's ideal of me nor my mother's want for me to accept with reading music. I still don't comprehend written music very well but now I can mimmick some of the tones you play and they make musical sense! Thank you Miss, I look forward to more. I am now a happy violinist student. Thank you for your patient teaching. I think you will be one of my favorite teachers. I only got to fifth grade violin then stopped because my teacher said I had a glue crack in my G bout. I wasn't reading music so I gave up. Maybe you can do something with me and help me learn to read music, maybe not. All I know is I'm having a heck of a lot of fun, and I wasn't for 40 some odd years of vague floundering. Bye for now. 😅

Do you have any tips for double stops I struggle with them I avoid them to be honest 😂
