No one can reach the top of ANY big money professional sport without the use of PEDs. Not cycling or running, not tennis or swimming, not the NBA or the EPL. Time to grow up and accept the fact that your heroes do whatever it takes to win.
I was never one of Froomes greatest fans but Rasmussen was and never will be fit to lace Froomes boots, I believe he should show a little more respect, it could be said he went on a little too long, he has gone down in history with the greats of our wonderful sport
Let me take a punch at "The Bitter Truth." Yes I agree that the horrific accident Froome had, took a big toll on his body and mind. But by saying that, even if Froome got back to his level again, to the level when he was winning all those Grand Tours, today it would not be enough. He would have to be much better, because todays riders are at a different level. Not only because of bike technology, but the technology of training, eating, drinking, thinking, AI is breaking through etc. etc. Now I'll give you two reasons why Froome wouldn't have ever made it back: 1) Chris was 34 when he crashed...yes, 34 years old. I have nothing more to say here. 2) His physical body anatomy compared to Pogacar, Remco, Vingegaard and Roglic is different. Nope, Chris Froome never had a chance. Yes, Chris Froome was a great cyclist. He won 7 Grand Tours (4X TdF) and many other races, but we have to put him in his own era of cycling. Today we can give him the best bike out there...the best technological cycling equipment...he has no chance, This is "The Bitter Truth."
Great assessment. Bro is pushing 40. Only real mistake I see form him is diet. But even with a good diet... Come on man. And yea bikes now are def faster. Tires alone are a huge difference.
The money part is the most brutal part for cycling in general. This discourages other teams from signing such big contracts, particularly with riders who have already been at the top for a while.
Would his team waste a spot on their Tour roster for Froome? Maybe if they think they have no GC contenders, they might gain some promo out of his attempt to win a stage? Would the peloton let him have one? At TdF I doubt it!
I can only say of Rasmussen is he is being vindictive. In actual fact he is woefully ignorant in his comment on Froome. Possibly because his own career has ended and he is not good enough for anything else. Of Froome I would say he needs advice from someone he respects. He could drop out of the elites and compete in the masters.
What a bunch of nonsense. Froome was nobody, took drugs, won, got busted, became nobody again. The crash is quite questionable. You showed a pic of the helicopter, but it was not Froome’s helicopter. We have zero photographs of the entire incident. Yet, Froome’s team was following him. Froome was on the ground long enough for a helicopter to fly there, work on him, then fly him away. And with all that commotion, not one single spectator with a camera. Bull shit. A sucker born every minute. If you believe anything about Frooome, you are that sucker.
When did he get "busted"? Seems like he still has all the winner's jerseys and his name is still on the record books. I'd say he was not-very-good, got very good thanks to "marginal (pharmaceutical) gains" then busted himself up in a crash close to his sell-by date. Recovery and the common birthday took care of the rest of his decline. But some moron was willing to "rent-a-star" for his cycling team and the White Kenyan wasn't gonna turn him down. Sad, pathetic as it is...he's still cashing some fat checks toward his retirement. How much can ya blame him for that?

Truth !
At least I can now tell my grandchildren that one year, I scored the exact same number of UCI points as Chris Froome !.

Please note bikes are slower now that the bikes Froome used back in the day
@@BaravullinBeag-r6lThey are not, check the Tour Magazin tests.

He’s nothing to prove❤
Feel for him. I'm experiencing exactly the same since covid!
Yes, 2018 he won the Gyro and then only came third in Le Tour, what a shocking performance.
Age doing its constant march…
Age plays a big part at the very top of cycling but you can still be a very good club cyclist well into your 60's.
To the video creator of this channel; you're opening sentence is complete lack of decorum and totally disrespectful.
