Armor has diminishing returns, so getting 50 armor will give you almost 25% damage reduction and you can get that by using a tier 1 torso/leg armor, which is the cheapest way to get 50 armor.
Getting familiar with a torch asap is also great, as you can keep it in the 2nd slot so it doesn't get used and it has 1.1 attack speed whilst the club has 0.9 (stutter stepping gets easier the more attack speed you have)
You can swap the torch with a cart thill for the last hit (worth on some mobs, plus it's cheap and good for sneak attacking and then swap with torch)
Check when it's worth to sneak enemies and when to pull them. You don't want to sneak attack an enemy near 2 or 3 others since you'll get multiple attacks after while dealing with them.
Get used to eating from your inventory, as there are already a lot of secondary items to use and there will probably be more in the future.
Only 3 items will make you throw up: Hollyberries (bright red ones), raw meat and ale. Every 10th hollyberry or 20th raw meat will make you puke, as will any combination of these (for example if you consume 5 hollyberries and then 10 raw meat, you'll puke at the 10th raw meat). There is a hidden puke meter you keep with you even if you leave the zone and 2 raw meat fill the same as 1 hollyberry.
When on auto, care for AI, as many as 4 of them can spawn in 1 trip and they're triggered by different factors. So auto on full hp and sound on.
2 axes and 1 pickaxe is all you need for a skull 1 forest. 2 picks and 1 axe is all you need for skull 1 rock zone.
Pick all the items in the green zone chests, you'll get more in red zones but trust me you won't be doing that many trips a day there.
Some people with less play time like to hop between skull 1 and skull 2 zones for mats, but if you have the time just go back and forth to get your materials changed in the furnace/wood bench etc.
This is the best f2p way to get lvls and it's what I did. For the best p2w method just buy double xp and kill templars for like 500 or 600 xp each, I don't recall.
There are no pvp zones, all players you face ingame aswell as their bases near you are AI.
Research team gotta step up their game.

Another trick, running or walking to the Green tree zone that is below your base, will take less time and energy, opposed to the one east of your base
I mean im a bit late but the best way for farming is going in Pine Thicket with 2 axe, 1 pike axe i forgot name, berry juice after getting camp fire ofcourse and cart thrill if you have sewing machine, dagger if you can keep up with getting the coppee ore (6 in forest 12 in mountain) or just the club.
Focus on getting more wood as stone are used only for upgrades but get what stones you get.
Get all the copper ore if you plan on using knife and avoid too much conflict.
Dont kill any enemy that does not have any resource near it as its waste of your tool and food.
Eat the yellow berry on spot whereas save the red berry for making the juice as its plenty and if atleast 20 berries are taken back you will never eun out of food.
Kill every deer, bear and wolf you can find for good return of meat. Its also good for your wolf feeding.
After clearing all the resources in the periphery, you will have atleast 2-3 spaces left so go for loot that has less number of enemies and take what you need most currently.

I usually farm a green zone and all I bring is a torch and some pick axes and axes I pick up berries along the way and craft a club but don’t craft armour

Only problem for me is the game always sends an ai with a strong weapon after me and I dont get enough time to get what I need and I keep dying and loosing what I get :/
