I just want to inquire about the aging report for Accounts Receivables: In the video you said that the aging report is made according to the payment terms while I think that these days are the number of overdue days for example: Less than 30 days are the invoices that are overdue for less than 30 days and still not collected from the customer. For that the percentage of estimated uncollectible increases with the overdue period. Please let me know if I'm missing something.
so lets say, you have client X who just bought from you for $5,000 to paid according to his credit terms in next 60 days and client Y who bought for $10,000 for credit terms of 90 days you, don't show them on the aging report?
@@EfhamCMA Thank you for the reply Mr.Tarek..Yes I'll not show them in the aging report as their not due yet. I'll include them in the report once they reach the due date. Starting from this date if they don't pay I'll count the overdue days and include them in the aging report according to the range ( less than 30 days, between 30 and 60 days...etc). That's why the estimated uncollectible rate will increase as the range increases ( the probability to collect overdue items not collected for more than 360 days is lesser than those under 30 days ==> then the allowance for uncollectible will be higher). Going back to the example: 5000$ : Credit term 60 days ==> on the 61st day, if the customer don't pay, I will include the 5000$ in the aging report ( range less than 30 days ). If he exceeds 30 days without paying then I'll move it to the next range and apply a higher allowance rate as the probability to collect it is getting lower. I hope this clarifies my point.
سؤال بسيط اخونا الكريم ربنا يبارك في مجهودك في طريقة balace sheet approch لاي سبب من الاسباب allowance اصبح اقل مثلا الادراة اقللت النسب او دخل عملاء جدد وسداداهم فوري فاصبح الرقم مثلا 3000$ بدلا من 5000$ هل اخفض allowance بقيمة 2000$ ليصبح 3000$ ولا ابقي علي الرصيد القديم 5000

هو مش ال interest لو كانت prepaid interest بنحطها في balance sheet مع الassets ولو كانت interest expenses بنحطها في الincome statement مع الexpenses?
