He is a sweet boy and often demands our attention. But we don't mind giving it to him. :)

Looks like you did a great job. I like how you used smaller hose to adapt the hose barb.
Barnacle buster is a bit expensive. Not sure what the shelf life is but I always save it in a 5 gal bucket for another project later on.
Don't like the worm gear hose clamps. I have started a new hobby of replacing mine with T-bolt hose clamps. Sizing is more critical but much better hold and they don't strip out.

Hadn't seen the hose clamps you mentioned but they certainly look like an improvement that will soon make its way into our inventory! No kidding on the price of the stuff, had we thought we may have saved it...next time I guess 😁

Depending on where you are moored, you may have to do this more frequently. We're in the Chesapeake and our friend (we haven't installed AC yet) cleans out the AC unit almost every week. Hopefully your AC will work much better now.

@@SailingRoam yes, it works much better now. We clean the raw water filter daily, and we installed the system to make it easier to do in the future. I think it has helped extend the life of the AC unit all together.

@@jameskahl9546 all good! We were/are in a great spot for that storm. Most wind we saw was right at 40kn but it stayed sustained in the upper 20s- low 30s from about 1am to 3am. Nothing we haven't ridden out on anchor before.
