If they're going to remake Black Flag in a new engine, it needs to be an actual remake not a remaster. For starters, there needs to be a complete seamless world, no loading screens anymore. They did it with Valhalla abd odyssey where you can sail your ship directly into giant cities. Also, id love if they made the previously inaccessible islands available to explore, with mire plantations to rob, buried treasure, and things like that. For as big as the games map is, 95% of the landmasses aren't even accessible.
I hope they don't mess up the combat, and actually add more weapons to the game like naval axes, aztec weapons to replace the native american tomahawk, muskets and so on, kinda like what AC3 was like.
I would be very interested if Edward can recruit and manage a crew of companions, Anne Bonny et al. Give them roles in the ship. Take 1 or 2 on some missions. He was a retainer, not a samurai. But anyways, idk how you can say origins was trash when it's the best out of the three RPG AC games. It's far better than Odyssey and Valhalla.
@WideOldDan I know it's on Steam, but I don't have a computer right now. I also know there is a way to use Steam through a third party to get it on my ps5, but I'm just going to wait for the remake
Nostalgia aside, the first Assassin's Creed had a great modern story and the Altier story wasn't bad, but the gameplay was absolute garbage. Riding a horse past a templar triggered a fight, etc. Ultimately, AC1 was a proof of concept they only truly actualized in AC2.
I'm actually good w/ the delay on Shadows(let it cook) and a Black Flag Remaster. I also wouldn't be shocked if the next major release(outside hexe) takes us to either pre-colonial MesoAmerica or India.
one thing i wanna see used in Shadows is blinding powders; ninjas would keep them contained in hollowed eggs or bamboo sticks and sorta just toss them into the eyes of enemies to temperarily blind an enemy combatants likely used to disengage with armored guards as their eyes were one things often exposed, this would give Naoe a means of escaping larger foes to return to a hiding spot or vantage point without outright letting her cheese enemies or brute force her way through like Yasuke; i guess you'd have to work out why Naoe can't just use a stealth kill or the hidden blade on armored guards but if i remember Ezio would try and just get tossed over and smacked so maybe something like that, idk i figure Naoe would understand her limits and not directly try to take down bigger foes. One thing i'm curious about is if the two fight alongside each other at times, can they call on one another or are they seperate but in the same world; which would be better imo. Two seperate stories and gameplay styles that can't benefit from each other to cheese, hell maybe they even fight each other at some point idk i'm just yappin
I actually worked for Ubisoft for 13 years on the original 4 o’clock games.... but last year I purchased every single assassin’s creed game plus all the DLC..I have nothing to do with the company anymore but I know they’re trying to replace all the old games so if you’re going to get them now is a good time to purchase all the original far cry games
Honestly, I really don't understand why they refuse to try to do a modern time AC game. They proved in that small DLC to Watch Dogs Legion that it could work! Having an open world huge city, with an Assassin running across rainy rooftops, grappling to vantage points, using shadows for stealth and dispatching enemies with duel hidden blades and long-range options using a gun that shoots poison, sleep and electric shock darts could definitely work! The game can be set in Washington DC, with the Templars embedded in the government and we have to stop the plot of them killing the President to install their own leadership but then we get framed for the murder, so everyone is hunting us while we try to clear our name and stop the Templars from taking over completely!
I think they should have a modern world where u can explore and use to travel to different times in history small maps to change an event that is happening in the modern world
Something like this would take a bit of vision to do correctly. The inclusion and use of the Animus to get to past times has always been a core of the AC series, so incorporating that is probably still necessary. That said, a current timeline with modern settings, where perhaps the goal is to secure more DNA/Objects/whatever to further pursue mcguffins across multiple smaller timeline/settings, I'd probably play it if it was given the attention of one of their major releases. But currently, give such an idea to Ubisoft in this moment, and I'm not sure what we get back would be in the AC series' best interest. Probably a mobile game with geo-elements that are unlocked with cash. ;)
Is there any mention of Infinity? The launcher of the games that Ubi has talked about in the past? Wasn’t that supposed to give us more modern day lore?
If they are remaking the older games I wonder if we are going to stay in the past or if they're going to do modern day as well. If so are they going to recast Lucy or try to get Kristen Bell back??
I'd really like an AC1 remake but with a little bit of reworks (not to the story but the game mechanics are etc) and I think a Black Flag remake is an absolute no-brainer. I remember fighting those Legendary ships (I believe that's what they were called) and just overall, it was a blast and would love to play it on the newer gen console.
Watch dogs two was one of the best open world games ever I don't understand why they don't follow up with another game that was like that, and not legion which sucked
Sad that Ubisoft didn’t invest more in for honor that game has so much potential, especially when they make a game like it in star wars universe or Assassins Creed universe with heroes being characters from the games
For Honor could've been a really good game and it was, played it a lot, it was unique and the exact thing I was looking for. But then again it's Ubisoft, from my experience playing the game I think they have absolutely no sense of balance. They keep making changes but it only gets worse. And now the game is plagued with microtransactions at every step too. The pre-release footage of what For Honor could look like was still a bit more appealing though.
I can't wait for the BF remake. I'd love to see a remaster of Odyssey or even a remaster one day. Odyssey is stunning and I'd love to see it with even better graphics in several years.
@@dominicp9296 I'm thinking a similar timeframe to BF. On the PS6. Hence why I said several years. It still looks good but Ubisoft has often looked a bit behind with certain aspects. There are better looking open world games now. The setting is beautiful though. It's been 6 years at this point. BF is 9yrs old and being remade. If the PS6 comes out in 2028 it'll be a decade since Odyssey. Shorter/similar timeframe as TLOU which was 9yrs before it's remake (which the original was very good graphically for the time). It had a remaster a year later as it was close to the PS4 release.
I’m not a kneejerk Ubisoft hater, but a focus on quality over quantity always seems like a better bet to me. Hopefully they’ll prove me wrong though, as it’s good to see them employing so many creatives at the very least.
Sure if one studio is doing it but they have multiple, Origins and Odyssey are games that came after each other and were liked. Rogue and Unity did poorly because of being rushed and Rogue more so was under budget for a mainline game as it was basically DLC but still rushed. That's the lesson Ubisoft needs to always remember which Shadows seems to be doing but they should have known better earlier as I was excited to see it next month but alas.
They've been working on some of these projects mentioned for some time now, and they have multiple studios and teams working each on different things. If they have the manpower to do it (which apparently they do since from what I heard they try to avoid having to lay off people), I don't see what's the problem. Also, a lot of these are smaller projects than creating a new mainline game (out of which the only ones rn are Shadows and Hexe). They have also said that they think 4 years seems to be the right amount of time to create an AC game, so I trust their time management is good if we don't consider parts of the games being in need of polishing in post-launch updates (which I personally never considered the biggest issue, but I feel like I'm kind of the black sheep on that).
If a new black flag remake comes out looking like shadows that would sell more than any game they’ve released in the last 3 years esp when ppl like like never played black flag but one of their best
It's 10 games, but only 2 main titles so far. The others, Jade, Black Flag, Invictus, Raid etc. aren't main titles, Ubisoft always release side games along their main titles, this isn't anything new.
Tbh I am very worried about the future of this series because I grew up with the gems like Ezio's trilogy and AC4 etc. but so far it doesn't look like things would be getting any better. On the contrary. On top of all the things that have been happening around Ubi they plan to release 10 games within 5 years? To me that seems like a really risky move from a marketing perspective. I really don't like the idea of AC4 running on the same engine as AC Shadows, since that would basically mean all the mocapped scenes would be gone and instead replaced by the emotionless faces and preprogrammed sets of animations. And we also know how Skull & Bones ended up. I think the remake is just a desperate move because people expected Skull & Bones to be like Black Flag. So after the flop they turned back and thought maybe it would be good to go back to the fan favorite. And overall I think the current games lack something and to me it seems just like a really huge cashgrab. All I can hope for now is that someone else takes over the brand and makes it shine again like before.
I wasn't big into Shadows previously, despite it being one of my favorite game franchises, I haven't been that into AC games since I played Odyssey(mainly because I really disliked that game, like maybe bottom 3 of the AC games I've played). But since the delay and talking to my dad about the AC games it's really starting to look good to me. I can't wait for when it comes out to give it a try. Hopefully I don't burn myself out on AC though since I want to play Valhalla(which I really liked but didn't beat) and Mirage(One I didn't play) before it comes out
Dang 10 AC games better remake 1- revelationss honestly remake odyssey in unreal engine 5 with Olympus DLC. Content it deserves it also where’s far cry 5 ps5 version 🤔
10 games in 5 years... This kind of schedule never works and never will. Even two studios not sharing a vision (Quebec and Montreal) has created a lot of lore inconsistencies in AC. Do people really think adding more studios to that equation will work? What they need to do is subsidize and build a narrative vision for their games instead of a monetary one.
I'm super excited for what Ubisoft has planned. And I won't lie, I couldn't care less about all the hype surrounding AC Shadows. I think it's going to be a great game, and regardless of whether or not it feels like a typical AC game I'm not too worried about it. I feel like people need to enjoy games for what they are a bit more. Of course, have expectations, but if you try to enjoy the games being put out, you'll be less likely to pay too much attention to the things that need work.
But that would be the smart thing to do. Instead we're getting a Fall Guys type game. No Wanted, no Assassinate, Manhunt, not even Deathmatch. We're getting Fall Guys 😂

10 new AC games before Splinter cell wow Ubisoft no wonder your failing hard
Tards like jor keep buying them. The last AC i bought at launch was Syndicate.
I got orgins, odyssey on sale for $5 because why not. Valhalla and mirage look like trash. Orgins was trash.
Origins was great, you're just on the "hate Ubisoft" bandwagon now. And yeah, I'm pissed that they keep pushing woke bullshit, which I won't buy shadows if they don't change Yasuke's role. He was a retainer, not a samurai. But anyways, idk how you can say origins was trash when it's the best out of the three RPG AC games. It's far better than Odyssey and Valhalla.
I mean it’s the only thing making them any money. So get it but you’re right 10 in five years is ludicrous.
Poor graphics and little numbers all over the screen cluttered @@noahgettheark

I'm hopeful for an ac1 remake. It would nice to play the game that first sparked my interest
You can count on it with 20 year anniversary! I heard rumors of a possible 1+2 remake bundle
You can do that now! It's awesome and it probably will be less awesome in remake because they'll leave out some of the best parts
@WideOldDan I know it's on Steam, but I don't have a computer right now. I also know there is a way to use Steam through a third party to get it on my ps5, but I'm just going to wait for the remake
@@xenite8555 terrible that it isn't on PS4 & 5
Nostalgia aside, the first Assassin's Creed had a great modern story and the Altier story wasn't bad, but the gameplay was absolute garbage. Riding a horse past a templar triggered a fight, etc. Ultimately, AC1 was a proof of concept they only truly actualized in AC2.
always keep posting. this gave me plenty of insight on ac
and its future i mean
I'm actually good w/ the delay on Shadows(let it cook) and a Black Flag Remaster. I also wouldn't be shocked if the next major release(outside hexe) takes us to either pre-colonial MesoAmerica or India.
All I want is a game set in the Netherlands during the golden age. Has all for a good traditional game
Have had my eye on this setting as well for a while
I hope they realize that the reason why there was a new period in the first place was the factory-like production of AC games...
Ubisoft listen - WE WANT SPLINTER CELL MY GUY
I don't want splinter cell speak for yourself
No we don't
20 years ago, sure. Now? Nah.
NO
one thing i wanna see used in Shadows is blinding powders; ninjas would keep them contained in hollowed eggs or bamboo sticks and sorta just toss them into the eyes of enemies to temperarily blind an enemy combatants likely used to disengage with armored guards as their eyes were one things often exposed, this would give Naoe a means of escaping larger foes to return to a hiding spot or vantage point without outright letting her cheese enemies or brute force her way through like Yasuke; i guess you'd have to work out why Naoe can't just use a stealth kill or the hidden blade on armored guards but if i remember Ezio would try and just get tossed over and smacked so maybe something like that, idk i figure Naoe would understand her limits and not directly try to take down bigger foes.
I only care about the single player part op Assassin Creed
Same.
Absolutely. Me too bud. 👍
Probably a mobile game with geo-elements that are unlocked with cash. ;)
That sounds pretty good!
They should release a dlc for Mirage. It seems like they've forgotten about its existence
sounds like a bunch of remakes or remasters will come out, hopefully they won't suck too much
Is there any mention of Infinity?
I'm so sad that Shadows got delayed but if it improves the game then so be it.

Thanks so much for this news. Just hearing about the remake of Blackflag and the graphics had me hyped. 👍
any news on the AC Origins/Odyssey crossover?its been 2y and we got no news
Thank heavens their games are launching on steam.
You'll have a long wait odyssey isint that old and still looks good not sure why you want a remake or remaster
I’m actually kinda excited for hexe
Hex and aztec the only AC games that interests me.
I will be playing shadows and the black flag remake next year the other two are not for me
is there any chance of getting a free AC game at the launch of AC shadows like we got AC syndicate at the time of AC mirage??
I think AC shadows might be a great game. If it looks and plays great, has good story, etc... awesome.
Will the modern day story continue?? I’ll be pissed if we never get a conclusion to what basim is doing next after that Valhalla ending
I'm dying for the remakes. Like if Ubisoft is going to go under, get the remakes for all the OG games out first
I never finished Black Flag. I'd definitely get the remake, assuming it isn't garbage.
Hey man I’ve been watching since origins
I hope in the black flag remake we have the option to not duel wield all the time and also the option to duel wield two different weapons
I think the next 5 years is to see which studios and types of games do well, then get rid of the ones that don't.
Bump up AC Jade please. Very excited for that game.
I think the public have a different idea on the future of assassin's creed and ubisoft if they continue down their current path.
And here is Rockstar Games, taking years upon years to create absolute bangers of games
Hopefully I don't burn myself out on AC though since I want to play Valhalla(which I really liked but didn't beat) and Mirage(One I didn't play) before it comes out
What the point of aiming 10 games with low quality, and only score 60/100.
Make it 5 in 5 year and make it 80+/100 is probably what player want to see
Dang 10 AC games better remake 1- revelationss honestly remake odyssey in unreal engine 5 with Olympus DLC.
Unfortunately those of us who care about lore are the minority. The masses are screaming to get rid of the meta plot altogether
UbiSoft has ensured that Assassin's Creed has no future.
That’s two ac games a year in five years sounds dope
Im just hoping Invictus at least has the original multiplayer. Seriously, the Wanted mode placed the AC Multiplayer on the map and won awards, ffs
But that would be the smart thing to do. Instead we're getting a Fall Guys type game. No Wanted, no Assassinate, Manhunt, not even Deathmatch. We're getting Fall Guys 😂
@@arthurg7894 invictus is compleete nonsense and will be. They only needed to make Unity like multiplayer for Black Flag with exploration and failed miserably.
@@nicechock Yeah. I've heard. It's gonna be like Fall Guys. Ugh. So out of touch and useless
LOL, Ubisoft has no future.
Look I’ve been a huge Ubisoft fan for a while now. I’ve played all their games such as ,assassins creed, for honor,Tom Clancy etc. Unfortunately Ubisoft does not have the same drive anymore as they used to.. this whole thing about 10 acs games is ridiculous and they just want more money because they know their going bankrupt with all these decisions they’re making. It’s sad to see knowing they have so much potential but being wasted by the executives who are telling them what to do instead of letting them create from their dreams.
Good info 👍
Im waiting for Hexe and have a feeling it will be great. Horror and mystery with supernatural elements a new turn for AC ...
I'm excited for the future of the franchise
That's a huge "if there's a future" with how bad Ubi has been doing and the talks of TenCent possibly taking over and taking the company private
You shouldn't be. Not even sure there will be a future. Company is going under and will likely go bankrupt even if Shadows is a success.

AC Jade should’ve been a console release. 10 releases in 5 years is crazy. Hopefully the releases are FIRE!
I’m hoping for more story-based differences in Black Flag and not just an enhanced remaster. Make it a true remake
The need to focus on quality over quantity. A remake of black flag in the style of the newer games is something I’ve been wishing for since origins
They drop the ball with jade for not making it for console players.. must not like money!
10 AC games in 5 years is really a lot .. especially when they use footage of glitchy and buggy gameplays for trailers and cant make a single thing right
Ubisoft wont life for the next 5 years. If they are lying now with fixing the game and the due to that the game is delayed, it will kill them.
After finding Mirage uninspiring, Avatar being adequate, and Outlaws absolutely abysmal - all this after the Skull and Bones disaster, now coupled with the current Ubisoft market share... I honestly believe the best we can hope right now is for Microsoft to swoop in for a cheap acquisition.
Otherwise, it will be Tencent doing it, and the way things are going there, certain countries may be less than favorable to Tencent products due to even the potential of security concerns.
In other words, we might have a roadmap, we might even have a few decent games lined up for a release, but I am not at all confident things are going great. Which I hate, because AC used to be the bomb. Now its more like dodging the bombs.
Soooooo let me get this straight. They buried in so much shit they actually drowning epically and their best decision is to bury themselves in even more shit? Huh, no wonder they going under and it is deserved. But still it hurts, they brought me the most beloved series to me in my childhood like SC, AC, PoP and it sucks they abandoned the two and completely ruined the the the last one that I just gave up on buying their games at all
Im a big assassin's creed fan but damn it's fan base is so fkn toxic it's crazy lol. Great vid and info as always, JorRaptor😁👍

Assuming Ubisoft survives for the next 5 years...
Assassin creed games need go back to roots of games that made them great
The reason AC went RPG genre was because the “roots” got old asf.

i hope before jade comes out that they realize that a lot of their audience doesnt care about mobile games.
Considering they aren’t exactly putting out the best with newer games. Despite the evil Ubisoft touch on them, I’ll gladly accept remakes if they’re legit, especially AC3 with a fresh coat.
