so for Peru, the translator ruined her very much. I don’t even understand how they thought of hiring that lady, Peru gave a great answer in Spanish, and was on a roll. But the defeat of disappointment on her face as she realized nothing she would do would fix the translators ability to translate, it was just sad. Also she didn’t talk about the forest, she is from the rainforest of Peru. Her answer tied in the fact that in Peru she is famous and well known, so she would use her platform to raise awareness which is what everyone should do, and she would specifically raise awareness with issues in ghetto rainforest, which is where she’s from, and raise awareness over the contamination in their rivers, and that they need to protect their land. But she ended up cutting herself off due to the fact that the translator was getting absolutely nothing of that. Miss Cosmo failed to give a proper translator, and for that, they need to give a proper apology. It was disgusting

Yes it happened to Hhen Nie at MU 2018. Vietnamese fans felt the same way that year that she lost her chance to be in top 3.
@@DaniWalker although learning to speak in English language is not pre requisite in joining pageants, it is really important to learn to speak English because it is the universal language. Using an interpreter can sometimes ruin a candidate's answer.
They did give an apology at the press conference about this.

Miss Philippines looked nervous or scared when she wasn't smiling
She was enduring the pain from the accident that happened on the stage that cosmo do, putting candidate on unfinished and unsecured stage which caused her to break her ankle and the organization hadn’t done anything about it. And they say as the era of “We don’t talk, we walk” how can the candidate walk when they were the reason why some candidate wasn’t able to show their full potential when they’re enduring pain. It’s disgusting how they treat some candidates and made it more controversial for biased judging.

Sadly Indonesia has been bullied and harassed so relentlessly by Filipino fans that Ahtisa had to post on IG defending her and telling her fans to stop bullying her. What a damn shame!! Even in this comment section the toxic pinoy fans just can’t get over the fact Philippines will not win every single pageant every single year 🙄

She knew in her heart of hearts that she didn’t deserve the crown that’s why she felt the need to justify her win by pulling Ahtisa down. That was her undoing. she did it to herself. Similar to Indonesia, Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico sends candidates to Miss Cosmo, Miss Supra, Miss International, and Miss Grand International. So far this year, top 21 in Miss Cosmo and Top 10 & Continental Queen in Miss Supra. Fingers crossed for Miss Grand and Miss Intl. CONGRATS TO INDONESIA!

I gasped when she came out in it, I LOVED it lol maybe I'm biased because my fav colour is black but the dress for me was something different AND the way Indonesia performed in it...WOOOOOW I was stunned, she looked amazing in it AND performed excellently. I am so proud of our Miss Philippines, she did her best and of course I'm abit upset that she didn't make it to top 5, which I think she deserved it but then, we, as pageant fans, as Filipino, myself, we should learn to accept defeat rather than saying some bad words the organization or to the winner. Regarding Miss Peru QA. The only person that’s missed the mark is the nonsensical translation by the interpreter. Don’t hold a pageant if you can’t provide a fair platform for the contestants!!

Just make your own Beauty Pageant and for sure you can choose your own winner.

@joeswono6410 and.... insecured people will always make conspiracy during the final event, where the judges are so much biased in choosing the right candidate to advance to the final round. Insecured people will always be envious to the Philippines for having a high calibre reprentative in the international stage that is why they tend to cheat by giving low score in order to drop the Philippines from advancing to the final rounds even if they know that the Philippines representative deserved better compared to the impacta candidates that they favored, trying hard candidates who couldn't able to express their thoughts and ideas excellently. 😄 🤣 😂

There is definitely a lot of room for improvement (eg translator, camera...) but it's so impressive when you take into consideration that they had this stage done in like 4 days, and only 1 day of rehearsal. everything could've been so much smoother had they had more time to rehearse. that will definitely be improved in the 2nd year, and I can't wait to see how the pageant will grow. the Miss Cosmo Vietnam queens are always booked and busy all the time, I can only imagine how many opportunities will open up now for Tata and Mook, and that will definitely be very attractive and raise the caliber of candidates next year.
Very impressive for their first production. I did not lose interest once during the video...they kept it interesting and fast paced. I thought Cambodia could have been Alma's twin...they look very much alike.
Well i know and belive dani is one of the pageant expert that really did a genuine riview, and i know she loves philiphine candidate,but in this riview she clearly said why philipine did not advance to top 5, and i think it was all correct. I hope as pageant lovers we can be supportive to our quen in a positive way as well as accept the result regardless.
I like Philippines dress. It’s so intricate and Mak Tumag’s did an amazing job with the beading. But it didn’t fill up the stage as the arena was huge! So much to learn from this experience and I think the Philippines will be a lot more prepared next year.

I was going for Thailand but i have no problem with Indonesia being the first winner. I totally agree with Philippines not performing well enough to rank higher. I had the same top five. Had the Philippines in sixth though. If Thailand or Indonesia fared less than their very good placements, they both would fit well in Miss Earth. Heart, beauty, brains. Love this first edition.
She didn’t perform well because she sprained her ankle when the supposedly prelims stage collapsed on Sep 28. She performed with a sprained ankle.

Hi Dani, i was waiting for this video. I was disappointed before you posted this video because i thought you didn’t want to post a video if Phil didnt win and just care about Phil fans.
And For many people out there who have negative comments about Indo queen Tata’s comment “we dont talk, we walk”. She did not bash anyone, she just repeated the slogan of the Cosmo pageant which is “walk the talk”. That phrase is repeated many times from cosmo vietnam to cosmo press conference and cosmo international. The organization did even have an entire episode of their reality show for cosmo vietnam named “Walk the talk”
Also i like Indo’s answer better than thai and im not her fan. In one of the reality episode for Miss cosmo Vietnam, the Ceo gave hints to the contestants that when you are in top 2, you are already among the good speakers, so this point, the judges are looking for authenticity/realistism in your action plan. Not looking if you using big words or speaking fluently.
Ceo did also say they have many activities for contestants for 3 weeks because they want to test their consistency and endurance. If someone can’t keep up with good energy for 3 weeks then they wont invest in her because she will not able to keep up with busy schedules for one year during her reign.
Should follow their reality show of MCV if anyone will still be interested in cosmo next year

Cosmo is setting a brand new standards on beauty queen. from the winner, it seem that they choose the most complete beauty rather than a well performances during the show. beside the performances on stage or off stages, the winner also has multi talents, she can sing, dancing, playing instrument and the most important thing she always has a mindful answer in every questions. She also authentic and so relate with the generation.
Many things about this pageant are confusing to me. The pageant moto for many months has been sustainable 'impactful beauty' but only a portion of the contestants were chosen to be on MCO's pages. Why were the others excluded? They all were filmed according to the pageant. I wanted to hear about all of them rather than just what the pageant chose prior to competition. Now I see that some of their videos are just now being posted. If impactful beauty/green project was supposed to be the focus, why did USA not have one but was placed top 5-- YET-- the winner of impactful beauty, Singapore, was not even placed top 21. I think there are many other questions that should be asked and answered as well and I hope you will do that homework and report on your findings. Perhaps interview some queens?

The reason the Philippine wasn’t in top 5 cuz she missed 2 days of the activities talking about the summit advocacy it’s very important and the judges didn’t like her evening gowns preliminary and finals 😢

Dani in 2000 femina miss india all the top 3 won their respective pageant like Lara won Miss Universe, Priyanka Chopra won Miss World and Diya Miza won Miss Asia Pacific and in 1994 India won their first miss universe crown and Ashwariya won Miss World and both susumita sen and Ashwariya was from same batch. Fun fact that in 1994 batch there was a tie between ashwariya and susumita so there was final qna for both contestant and we all know that susmita 💅 nail the qna and won femina miss india 1994❤

Can someone answer a question for me please? The winner of "impactful beauty" was Singapore. If the pageant's entire moto is "impactful beauty" so why didn't Singapore even make top 21?

i would have remarked about the prevalence of vietnamese judges on the selection panel for an international event premised on rebranding beauty pageants...vietnam's placement in the top 5 (awarded best in evening gown) over Philippines and Dominican Republic reeked of patronage. I know judging is subjective but in this case where there are 3 vietnamese on the judging panel, fans' reaction to Athisa's elimination is valid. And let's keep it real, the quality of answers during the top 5 and the exchange by the top 2 in their debate are subpar for international standards. When I think of impactful women in beauty pageants whose speech and answer resonate to this day, I think of Miss USA's Ali Landry, Chelsea Smith, Brooke Lee; India's Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Manpreet Brar; Philippine's Catriona Gray; Venezuela's Dayana Mendoza; South Afriaca's Zozibini Tunzi. for a pageant that is trying to reinvent the wheel, the first serving is all gloss and production, but really lacking in impact and substance. How is this different from the notoriety that is MGI?!

@@jeromehiralall3336 miss earth is unapologetically miss earth. It never advertised itself to "revolutionize" or usher "new era" in international pageants. Not a valid comparison. Even if it were, then Ms. Cosmo should not perpetuate this practice. Otherwise, it is just another tired iteration of the old beauty pageant systems, if not a poor imitation.
What matters is how the contestant answered the question in a particular edition of the particular beauty contest, walang sense to compare and disparage and belittle a winner just because you find other winners in other previous beauty contest to have gIven a better answer to a particular question. Sour grape lang yan at attitude yan ng die hard fantard! Itulog mo na lang yan.😂
Yong production naman talaga ang unang pupunahin at primary basis sa pag rate yong event kung sucessful or not eh. So long na sensible yong mga sagot sa tanong ay hindi issue sa akin kung meron mga sagot sa Q&A sa ibang previous beauty pageant na supposedly more memorable. Impactful and impressive. A win is a win, hindi kabawasan sa prestige ng title kung meron mga nakaraang winners na mas magaling at mas maganda ang sagot nila sa tanong moreso kung ibang mga pageant yon.
I thought for their first pageant, the Miss Cosmo International Organization did a terrific job, better than some of the pageants that have been around for many years. The only complaint that I have is (I'm sure they'll get this resolved for the future); the CEO should have been standing in the circle with the final two contestants ready to place the crown on the winner's head once her name was announced. It just looked dumb for her to be standing alone while everyone was on a different stage with the runner up who was receiving her tiara, sash and flowers. Priority should always go to the winner first, then the runner up should receive her award. And what about that Paula Shugart being at Miss Cosmo! 😉

I don’t think the translator was correct in translation for Miss Peru. I felt bad cause she tried to save her answer by trying in English but it just didn’t come together.
I believe its not fair to Miss Peru for not being interpreted decently and accurately.

Puteri Indonesia used to sent their winner as this format Winner to MU, 1st runner up to Ms International, 2nd runner up to Ms Supra, the only problem with that format is sometimes The Winner was “suit” as the role model of Puteri Indonesia itself but not good enough as a representatif to MU and so on, now everything has changed since 2024 the winner of Puteri can choose what International pageant they want to compete 😊

It's sad to see girls go without being heard. honestly, i hope there's atleast an interview for the top 21. also, i don't like pageants that are using girls for the clout and hype but not giving them placements. like for this, they almost made Ph, Honduras and Tanzania as the face of cosmo but yet no good placements? If that's their decision, then they should stop posting about those girls too after the finals because it's unfair.

Awesome review Dani however in her press conference after the crowning, Ms Indonesia was asked what she'll say to other pageant fans who does not support her win. She sort of said, "In Ms cosmo...we don't talk we walk." Which was quit conceited and hurtful to other fans. She should not say that and should humbly unite us all." It seems like she forgets that some candidates were injured during one of their events and wasn't able to attend other events or activities. Instead being so ungrateful to the fans who voted and spent money like Ms Tanzania and the Philippines, she should act like a humble queen and emphatise to fans who are feeling hurt because of her win.

The only problem I had with the show was vietnam being pushed to top 5 and my country india not placing, other than that it was amazing.
Because most of the judges are Vietnamese…. People where also surprised that India and Venezuela didn't even make it to the top21 even Tanzania…

It's so sad nobody saw nor noticing when they announced voting was closed and Tanzania 🇹🇿 was leading but then the voting was left open only for Philippines to succeed and Tanzanians voting was disabled and only Philippines was increasing. They also promised to give an exclusive media promotion for the winer of second stage of people's choice voting to promote her nation of which Tanzania 🇹🇿 won but they didn't give that chance to miss Tanzania just because is unpopular country. Tanzanians united to vote for their queen but the Organisation only wanted the Philippines to win that award as they feared the Philippines fans to boycott as they knew Philippines wouldn't win the crown. Unfair! Unpopular countries matter too
Athisa's weakness is wearing gowns that don't stand out. Here, it was a bit better than what she wore in miss universe philippines. And her ankle injury really affected her chances.
For the opening outfit, they are sponsored and made from scratch by Cosmo and designer

It can be seen that because it is the first year, Latin American countries do not understand the grandeur and scale of the contest, so they do not send their strongest people. Some countries are still exploring. But I think Miss Cosmo 2025 will be a much more fierce battle when they understand the evaluation criteria and scale of the contest. Especially the reward for the beauty queen is not small... next year the organization will promise a more modern and beautiful stage.

The winner’s reward maybe high but they were not able to give Tanzania’s other prizes as the National Pride. Only the x2 points. Even for Philippines as the first station winner, other prizes were not given. It’s a scam
