Hi It takes a lot of time and patience at home, What I do when there young is make a show at home, do everything you would in the show ring I will have the youngster/ novice and Lewis would then walk round / trot with gambler so the youngster get used to being left in the ‘line up’ to begin with hand feed them grass to keep the attention on you
Beautiful horse.could i ask I'm doing an inhand show with my 2yr old piebald cob filly in September just a local one nothing major lol.ive never ever shown before what would you recommend I wear its a mind field for a complete novice like myself 🙃
Thank you, I am in the middle of preparing that video as we speak, it should be out early next week. I am uploading daily at the moment (we’d and sat - what I get up to and how to / tips every other day
Hello got a show tomorow any tips it’s just a local one it’s his second ever show but it’s the same place I’m curious for tips and ideas on how to keep his head still❤
Ohhh let me know how you get on, Just remember to have fun, it’s all new to him and lots for him to see and take in, Head still - do you mean when stood up or trotting round? If trotting round that will come with time, he will just be trying to see everything around him If you mean standing for the judge then you can feed a little bit of grass, or throw a little bit of arena to carve his attention 💜
Hi Oh wow that’s so exciting for you both, Just remember we all had a nervous first day at some time, but once that day is out of the way you will love it, Just remember to stay calm and ask the judge for any feedback, Let me know how you get on xx
