    What was your first Side by Side, and why did you chose that model?

      Same unit, my first sxs also. Super ATV roof, flip up windshield, front and rear bumpers. The SATV rear bumper blocked my back up camera so I had to relocate it. I wish I had got a front bumper with a winch mount. A friend has one and it's a lot easier to get to when you need to free spool. Two inch bracket lift from Street Rays. Same bed box as you. MTX mudsys31 overhead audio. Next on the list is a skid plate and Wolfsnout insulation kit. We cooked in the summer!

      @@jackrichardson1913 Very nice. How do you like the lift? I see a few listed and one just recently, they look decent. I have a Nilight light bar to add along with a junction box for all the power connections under the "hood", so that's a future video and add-on. I really want to add the 1.5in spacers, but I'll have to see if I can fit in the F150 rear box once the rock-sliders are off and I add the ricochet low profile rock sliders, then I might just be 54 inches, then another 3 inches for the spacers...wider stance. F150 bed width is 60 inches.

      Wife and I just ordered a 2021 Trail Premium last weekend. Should be in around mid July. Just picked up a 5x10 trailer for it yesterday. Went with the trail for a few reasons. Cost, size for storage, and because it is able to go on ATV trails. We also ordered a black poly roof, full plexiglass windshield, and the rear view mirror.

    My wife and I started with 2008 50 inch and a 2011 50 inch both 800’s put about 3,000 miles on each we now have a pair of 2015 trail Eps’s and are at about 4,000 mile on them. Living here in Pa. I will always stick with the 50 inch. We are old foggies and ride slow and enjoy the scenery and enjoy our picnic lunch on the trail. Enjoyed your review.

      Thats awesome. I used to ride ATVs, but I am too old for a rollover as well. "With Age comes a cage". lol as I always say. Well, maybe we'll see you out at FRO, AOAA or LT sometime. Working on exploring more in PA once I am done with the FRO series reviews. Glad you liked the video!

      I was just talking with a friend who also has a 2020 unit, and we don't have that issue. Seems the 2020 xp, 1000, turbo owners mentioned it, I didnt think much of it. How hot? Have you taken IR temperature reading? I'd be curious to know. If you're in the NorthEast US, I would love to interview you with your new trail.

    I had a 570 eps, sold it, then upgraded to a 900 eps trail for 10,500, with half windshield, 2 helmets, and door upgrades. And roof. 180 miles on it. Waited till the right clean one came along. Love the 900

      How much less top end did your 570 have? I only got to ride one on some hilly terrain, less power, but was always curious. Love my 900.

      @@TheBeatenTrail that 570 motor is surprisingly good torque wise. I pulled a small seadoo and trailer on sandy beaches and up a really steep grade hill , no problems... loved that lil 570.

      Excellent I’m glad you like the video I had to ask myself why did I buy it so I went through the whole description of why somebody would I need space do you want something small you don’t wanna start out full speed and you can always sell it because they really do hold their value, as long as you’re not into climbing, big hills, and being tippy, it’s a good vehicle to start with.

    what light bar do you recommend for the trail

    • @TheBeatenTrail
      @TheBeatenTrail  2 роки тому +1

      I had a genuine Polaris 10 inch LED behind the bumper but did not have a full light bar, depending on your budget I would check out ni light or rigid but obviously something that you can mount depending on your wheel windshield preference.

      I think you probably get a little more power to weight ratio on the Can-Am even though I think it’s the same horsepower it’s 100 cc more engine size. I would have to look up the price but I think the Can-Am may come out a little bit more expensive because they’ll use a glass windshield as opposed to a plexi fold down on the razor. I would have to itemize it out between the two. Both great deals. I think the one that will win is the one who’s dealers not gonna take advantage of you for freight charges.

    Never owned a sxs just curious about the spare tire. The front and back are different sizes so what do you carry for your spare and is there a reason why you carry one over the other.

    • @TheBeatenTrail
      @TheBeatenTrail  3 роки тому +1

      Tell you the truth it was always you to carry a front spare with you just in case front or back go bad or you cannot repair it I had a pretty bad rim damage where I need a spare and plugs and everything else didn’t work early on in my riding so I always carry one. But full disclosure I’m running the same size tire all around with a new task terabytes on my side-by-side by side. The spare is the old stock tire for the razor trail. Just something to get you home back to the trail head.
