He made my life years ago I just can't stop laughing he was one of the best comedians never again will we ever see one like this ever again love him rip my man
When I was a kid I used to check the guest list on Des O'Connors show. Whenever I saw Freddie Starr was on my parents would let me stay up to watch him. He made me laugh so much, seeing this again brings back many happy memories. Oh, and it's still as funny today!
❤ loved Freddie miss him 😢 I cried with laughter on all shows he was on Des o Connor i Was so upset when he passed I still watch him on u tube I met him when I was 11 yrs in 1967 RIP FREDDIE SADLY MISSED
I used to love watching Freddie on this show, poor old Des never quite knew what to expect. He was always hilarious. R.I.P. Freddie you were a true Starr!😢
The best thing about UA-cam is Freddy Starr qith live on FOREVER, his vessel may have expired but UA-cam and videos allows Freddy Starrs legacy live forever. In 100 years we will still be able to enjoy the wonderful Freddy Starr. His comedy is unrivaled
Seen Freddie perform in Blackpool many moons ago and what a natural, He had people crying with the laughter he was just brilliant and so full of energy.
Now this is what you call good tv back then better than watching what’s on it these days....I miss these days and miss Freddie...your a star you always brought us laughter too all of us one of the funniest comedians growing up and your the only one who sang Elvis perfectly.....R.I.P Freddie 🙏
The Great Freddie Starr. The most talented performer Britain ever produced. This man could sing beautifully, was a fine Comedian, a naturally funny bloke, a terrific Impressionist and a good actor. Freddie was more talented than most entertainers who had only a one Dimensional Talent. So sorry Freddie that your last few years alive were so damn miserable. The BBC and the media really treated you cruelly. It was disgraceful. People should never be named before they are charged with a crime. It can ruin a person's life and reputation. Freddie was one of a number of entertainers found INNOCENT of any wrong doing! But mud sticks! And it never really goes away because people always assume the worst. Poor Freddie had really bad health and this turmoil just finished him off. Broke him to pieces. Such a shame he could get over it. Freddie thank you for your wonderful talent for making us laugh and for just being yourself. I will miss you forever. G-D BLESS YOU. 💖💖💖
What a funny guy, he didnt have to say a word and i would laugh, des o conner used to b half afraid of what freddie would do next, RIP FREDDIE STARR!!☘🐾
I am pleased that person found this ckip on his old v.h.s with the world being like it is this is exactly what people need and Freddie starr has certainly done that he has provided everyone with the laughs well done R.I.P. Freddie
One of the greats, I to can remember watching this and then going out too my mates on the street corner and we would all be talking about him and doing our best to copy his act funny.
My nan had a video of Freddie Starr and I used to put it on as a kid. This and one of his renditions of "Vincent" were my favourite parts. Its rare now to find a truly family friendly comedian RIP Freddie ❤
So talented, his impressions were so good, and hecould do a completevarietyshowall on his own. One of the best Elvises EVER! ( when he had his "serious" head on). His Little Richard sketches were totally hilarious. Comedy is going to miss him badly. R. I. P. Freddie, You strained my chuckle-muscles EVERY time I watched your performances, and Des O'Connor must be feeling so sad now that so many of his favourite guests have gone!!
I’m in my 40s now but I can remember staying up late with my parents to watch the Des Oconner show in the 80s. I would love it when Freddie was due to perform on this show. His stage presence, effort into his performance to make his crowd laugh was second to none. Poor old Des would lose control of his show and it become the Freddie Starr show.... fantastic entertainer and let down by the witch hunt that followed in the 2000s. Such a shame.
There is something special about the great comedians. They are the creme de la creme of entertainers, because they are on their own and so brave. Freddie Starr, Bernard Manning, Peter Sellers, Mickey Flanagan etc. Freddie was one of the greatest, like many of them he started off as a singer ( in a 60's mersey beat band ). He got a bit tired and old towards the end but during his peak in the 70's he was sensational.
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOOTAGE FOR YEARS, IT IS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST FREDDIE STAR MOMENTS I EVER SAW,MY MUM WORKED WITH HIM BEFORE HE GOT FAMOUS WHILST DOING THE CLUBS SHE SAID SHE COULD,NT SING FOR LAUGHING, THANX FOR THIS..
Freddie Starr, every talk show hosts biggest guaranteed funniest guest, as well as there possible biggest nightmare. A bit like Tommy Cooper could be way back in day. Brilliant
Yes there is! Bill Bailey, Rhod Gilbert, Danny Bhoy, Stop Exaggerating! Yeah Freddie was amazing and will be sadly missed, but there is still plenty of comedic talent out there!
What I wouldn't give for there to be something like Des O'connor show on these days. Mind you, there's probably not enough decent guests around to make it work. The left have silenced all the good comics.
Every time I feel a bit down ,I watch Freddie Starr ,he has me laughing in no time R.I.P. Freddie.
Doesn't he just 🤣🤣🤣
One of the funniest blokes who ever lived. Cry with laughter every time . Rip Freddie.

When Britain was great, reminds me of such good times. Back when we had communities and people knew and talked to each other, my own people.
One of the all time greatest entertainers they don’t make them like this anymore RIP .
Went to see Freddie Starr at the Wakefield in 1977, with Banking staff (including Manager) and we could not stop laughing ... a formidable talent.
What I wouldn't give for there to be something like Des O'connor show on these days. Mind you, there's probably not enough decent guests around to make it work. The left have silenced all the good comics.
2023 and he is still funny as hell.
Two fantastic entertainers of the entertainment industry
I'm gutted it's a sad day
