You can see a mastery in the way haggis Handels the turns. He turns gradually so he stays supersonic and saves his boost for the super tight turns. He didn't make unnecessary tiny adjustments unlike the runner-up

@@robertbettle9470 there are a range of supersonic speeds though so it is worth flipping again to increase that velocity
@@jamesmiller7712 unless you're boosting in the air with speed flips repeated jumps will just slow you down because you're momentarily not accelerating on the ground
@@novocaine88 If you are supersonic and you flip, you momentarily go beyond supersonic speed though. If you have two players on a drag strip boost to supersonic and then one keeps driving supersonic and the other flips once, the one that flips once will win.
@@twanvanderdonk2504 He is wavedashing tho, so the momentum he gains by jumping is only directed upwards instead of forwards, which is why you can't be as fast as someone just driving straight. Also, what is more important in my opinion, you are more prone to error if you're flipping or even worse wavedashing.
So this was a joy to be in. No lie, body was tense in those final few races I participated in. To have an opportunity like this happen again, I was so happy. These 2 videos I was in was some of the most fun I had in a while. Full props to Sunlesskhan for making this video look great! One note of watching this is that my mic sounds kind of bad, better get a better one. Again thanks for the opportunity!

The fact the ppl that are in the rank I want to be in one day are racing each other makes this more interesting for me, diamonds are so cool, I asked some of my friends what rank they think I play like, some sad gold 2- 3, plat 2, 1 said diamond and 1 said Champ (I honestly don't know why someone would say champ), btw I'm gold 3 (but only in 2's because I'm more focused on that rn, but I'm trying to play more 1's games so I can become gold in that too.

I’ve been wanting a race game mode In Rocket league and wonder if anyone else does too!
Sure, this game is limitless and ground racing or flying racing (with rings) is just insane to play or watch, but I assume Psyonix does not want to go in all direction (I'm typing while watching RLCS and now Freestyle is growing and getting a lot of attention with some official freestyle matches between RLCS rounds).

Hey Sunless, I had this idea while studying the theory of aerials. To my experience, it makes it a lot easier to practice air rolls with 0 gravity just hanging out in the air and pressing inputs figuring out where it takes me. That makes me realize that what limits bad players from being good at aerials is that it all happens too fast for their mechanical skill. So I had this idea of making a tournament for only gold players, except there is two mutators: ball low gravity + ball slow speed. The rest is the same, they have to collect boost and manage it, rotate etc, but the ball will be a lot easier to hit in the air provided they don't whiff. I think it would make for some really fun gameplay on your channel, freestyle competition: gold edition :3
