Guy at Survive Does A Fantastic Job and Fit and Finish Is Second To None!. Get Well Soon!
I'm really interested in that hard use puuko shown at around the 13:46 mark. I keep missing the name, and I apologize, but I've been looking for something and that would fit the bill perfectly.
I'll admit, one of my first knives was the Bear Grillas (sp) knife. Then a bunch of cheap 20$ Chinese knives off eBay. Until I started educating myself on steel types, and quality makers. My collection is still only maybe 12 high end knives. Which is fine by me. Since the oil crash, and I worked in the oil field, my income has been cut by more than half. But I'm happy as hell. I'm also somewhat of a firearms nut as well, so between both it's pretty expensive. Just spent nearly 2g's on a long range build for shooting coyotes out on the vast prairies in Alberta. Plus ordered a Bark River bravo 1 25 lt in 3v a couple days ago... So, no more spending for me till probably spring, unless a new job opportunity pops up. Good thing about this hobby, is these are assets, and in case of emergency, they can be sold off, with some loss, but with some gain. I've got one rifle, I bought years back, a swiss K31 in mint condition for $300 can. They are now selling for $950+ in good condition. Mine is a handpicked quality. Would never want to part with it, but if it came down to it, It's always there.
Pete, don't have time to read all replies.. The S!K knives are GSO 3.5 first gen, GSO 4.1 First Gen ( there was an EDC 4 made before that by Guy) and GSO 4.7 (that's a peened finish on the knife - think bead blasted) . Great knives! I see that you discovered that Busse&co have some other knives - still hundreds of models out there for you to try :)
i personally would never use a stainless steel knife for a survival knife if im trusting my life on it. its gotta be 5160 or preferably cpm 3v or 80crv2
Cold Steel's 4116 is less then stellar in my experience. Holds an edge worse then their AUS8. Have the same Bear Grills, my first and only Gerber, I think its still buried in an emergency bag somewhere.
carbon steel force the patina ...much less red rust fixed blades used here more yaktkit looks useful customs not allowing one hand opening folders in canada ..sucks
Sorry...I'm an outdoor enthusiast despite Edward Grylls. Maybe the Gerber BGUP is better than the fragile Chinese versions, but unless someone gifted me one...I would never know....simple reason ...there are better knives for the same money. CUTCO owns KBAR.... CUTCO makes a damn kitchen knife for the money as well.
I'm just getting over a nasty bit of sick myself. Get better! Don't burn out! Thanks for the videos, man.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. You are better watching than television.
Thanks for the look at the collection! Feel better!
You da man...take a break, take some time for yourself; get some rest. We'll all be here whenever da man comes back!! God Bless...

Bear Grylls knife got you into knives, I’m guessing I’m older than you it but was hollow handled “Rambo” knives for me 😀
Get better soon
Can't wait for my Survive! 5.1 CPM MagnaCut: Satin Stonewash
Here we go, looking foward to this video.
Awesome vid as usual! Get well soon, best wishes from the antipodes (Spain)

Awww yeah... Z-Hunter - 1crmov... UNLEASHED!
Ultra tactical
Ultra deadly
little bits of the steel break off inside of you and give you shit steel poisoning.
I look forward to seeing what you think of the Survive! GSO 4.7's ergonomics.
By day he is a mild mannered Peter, but by night he is Super Frank! Doot do Doooooooooooo!

Where abouts did you pick up the kabar mark 1 in Australia?
RIP Trailmaster, will miss you.
Can’t wait to see the cutco kabar review! My parents have cutco kitchen knives that are really good quality 👌
The srk is a good hammer on the rang 😊😄

Didn't expect JX6 to leave the stable so soon.
Nick Shabazz is going to be so jelly of that Z-Hunter fixed blade 🤣😂
D2 survival blades always were iffy to me. 3v 80crv2 1095 or 5160. Or m4 if you carry your edge pro in the woods hahaha
I'll take the vox rold how much do you want for it
Z-Hunter unleashed!!!! What????
How much is the graystone knife
$300 AUD plus Shipping. My wait time is quite long unfortunately, Knifemaking is something I do when I get the time.

What’s your least favorite knife?
If you want to sell the Vox Rold hit me up, depending on the price I might be interested :)
Way cool
My knife “story started with the typical Norwegian knife brands like Helle and Brusletto and ofc the odd Mora knife lol.
Falkniven's are chippie, I got a Bark River in 3v, and is it sharp, no chips. Ya and D-2 I do not care for, just me, (and U).
Hey Pete did you sell the
"Tindall Sawtooth Hunter" ?
I know this is kind of a silly thing to ask but do you think you would ever at one point or another review not just knives but maybe swords?
I thought you were going to save the best for last....then the video ended
What were you waiting on?
no bk7 anymore? :*(
Did I see a unicorn?
