caught this raccoon after a bunch of attempts to get into our chicken koop. I caught and relocated his acomplice a few days earlier and now it was this one's turn. Even though he wasn't happy about it.

Last Raccoon I caught I calmed down by feeding it grapes on a bamboo skewer. After the third grape it quieted right down and wasn't worried at all when I put the cage in the back of the truck. I let it go in the hills near me. All it wanted were more grapes, which I had put on the ground about ten feet from the cage. Never saw it again.

Her and her boy friend? Does this mean she may plan to procreate when she grows up? But just say she does have a family. Well then how about having one of these wild animals pay her home a visit and she can allow it to bite one of her children because the raccoon's life matters. Then what will she do? Tell the injured child that the child is the pest for stealing the raccoon's land and let the child die from rabies? I can tell you this. If a wild animal threatens my home and or family, I sure as hell am not going to allow it to kill or harm my family members because I think we took it's land. If the animal can be removed safely without causing it too much harm that is great. However if I believe it's a serious threat and needs to be delt with immediately, Example: A bear inside my house or even a possibly a rabid raccoon in my yard, I would have no problem with killing it. Like the animal I will protect my home and family because that is nature. This girl sounds like she may be 13 years old because that is about her level of maturity. I am impressed though because she does know how to use the big words like detrimental and environment.

I got over there and went down to the creek and almost tripped over a huge coon. He was trapped in a square shaped kill trap and the sounds were a mixture of a pig in agony and a cat being eaten alive. Part of me felt bad for him but part didn't cuz coons just killed four of my ducklings that were damn near to adulthood. But the sound was heart wrenching

I work until midnight. Got out. Showered and went for a walk. Was on a backroad with heavy woods on both sides. When my flashlight hit a deep patch I heard that growl exactly. I ran in the opposite direction as fast as I could getting my pocket knife. Haha!. They can really sounds vicious!

Next time put a towel over the cage. These animals don’t like the hot sun. They look cute but when caught they are very angry and nasty animals and will try to claw you or bite you if you get to close to the cage. I caught one a few weeks ago. My city animal shelter relocates them in the local hills.
It might be your bait or cage trap placement. I always use something good and smelly likek tuna fish and always put the trap up against something so the animal feels less vunerable.

No not pee I had given it some water and it knocked it over. As for your other question no they are not. Raccoons are in the family Procyonidae with coatis and kinkajous while wolverines are in a separate family with ferrets, martins and badgers. Although both belong to the order Carnivora.
