Those jammies that JJ commented on, I have a very similar vintage pattern for them. In the 40s, they were called tap pants . They were called that because it’s what dancers in Hollywood wore during rehearsal. They were picked up by lingerie companies as regular “pants” . Much cuter than what their Moms were wearing and when ones skirt flipped up a little whilst swing dancing, much MUCH more pretty.

I think the trick is hair and makeup. When I actually do my hair and makeup, I feel automatically more put together even if I’m wearing the ugliest lounge clothes
