To those of you that do not understand Fijian or the I Taukei language. The song is about a Father and his eldest son who tragically died due to a car accident(27/12/2020), Dad(Elia) died on the spot and son(Lodo)died at the hospital. Lodo's wife was 8 months pregnant with their second son at that time. Detailed from the days leading up to the accident right up till the day of their burial, the whole village was in mourning and people who knew them turned up in numbers to pay their last respect 🙏. Elia went for Mass at Natovi Catholic Parish and was supposed to return with the family but opted to stay behind as per Parish Curate's request. Lodo went back later that evening to pick his Dad up from Natovi hoping to return back home and have a basin of grog with the family but ALAS 🥺 death awaits 😭😭. Three people died that night including the driver of the other car(all three were from the same village). Dad Elia was a very humble man, always opens his house to anyone be it strangers, indo Fijian and people from all walks of life, son Lodo known by many as a happy go lucky kind of person, down to earth with a big heart and always the life of a party whether in the village or work place. Lodo's wife gave birth to their second son(named after his late Dad) a month later. Elia is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters while Lodo left behind his wife and two sons.... Gone but never forgotten.
