    As a auburn graduate. I must say the alabama football team played there hearts out and made plays when needed. That's what top championship teams do. I am looking forward to the iron bowl.

      Most comments from Auburn fans this time of year are rather annoying however, you have my respect.

      Don't go over to Gus' postgame talk. There's ALOT of hate over there. It was sad to see people so uncivil about things.

    Outside of winning a Championship/ Bowl Game this was the happiest I have ever seen Nick Saban after a game.

    "can you continue to grow, this late in the season?" - Dude, who gave that guy a press pass???

    • @_goodwin10k73
      @_goodwin10k73 6 років тому

      Dave C yes you can, sometimes for whatever reason especially with in- experienced players, like we have at linebacker, things can very suddenly "click" for a player or players and the difference will be night and day. I think in all honestly this scenario is very likely for our front 7 because the question isn't talent but experience (except for maybe Holcombe, he is pretty bad period).

    • @davec7233
      @davec7233 6 років тому

      my point is you continue to grow EVERY SINGLE DAY. Every game. Every play. Asking that question was the pinnacle of lame questions. Of COURSE you continue to grow this late in the season. The question was akin to asking "do you want to win games?"

      Dave C - We have all noticed how Coach Saban often uses these press conferences to talk to his players and not the media/fans. He knows they listen and uses that. I have long suspected that he arranges to have certain things asked just so he can say what he wants to say. Were I a betting man I would bet that this seemingly stupid question is an example of it.

      I agree with Daniel about the it suddenly "clicks" part. Look at the players Coach Saban recruits they are among the highest caliber in the country. Yeah, there are a few "stars" that shine from day one, but Bama doesn't have the easiest defensive schemes in the country to master. The talent is there, they just need the experience and exposure, and nothing is quite like real game experience.
      I've contended for years that depth is one of Bama's greatest assets. They can swap out players with little to no drop off in ability, it's the actual game experience that separates one player from another a lot of times. Bama has more 4 and 5 star guys sitting on the bench waiting their turn than probably any other team in the county. This is also a reason why they prepare so well. When these highly talented players are on the scout team, they don't become slower, their vertical doesn't decrease and their ability to play their position isn't any less. So even when you put these talented players in say an FSU defensive or offensive scheme, they are still extremely talented players so it elevates the starting offense and defenses game, because they have to.

    Nick Saban "Not saying I'm a great competitor by any stretch of the imagination. Think that was said said just a little tongue in cheek. The man is the most competitive and driven figure in the history of college football. The man probably only gets 40 minutes of "me time" a week for more than 10 years, it's almost in-human when you think about it.

      I would be maybe not worried but concerned about both of the last 2 games because around 79 or so a low ranked miss.state beat the reigning national champ # 2 Alabama . I’m not saying they will I hope some of the injuries will be better. Well the ones who aren’t out for the season anyway.

    • @jondough933
      @jondough933 6 років тому

      to help Mercer... one away game at Alabama brings a hell of a lot of money to their school. And Alabama gets a non conference win.

    The Mercer game should turn out to be a routing! Now, the AU game should be a stiff test for BAMA! The War Eagles will definitely give it all they have! If BAMA ends up going into the SEC Championship game, UGA will end up in the meat grinder!

    • @sam21462
      @sam21462 6 років тому

      Les Wadley - Nope, it's a true thing. He expounded a bit more on it in another interview. It was interesting and the point he made was that Alabama expects most of its players to leave for the draft after their Junior year, at least he knows that is what they are shooting for. Therefore, unlike most teams, he kind of has a lot of his players on a three year development plan instead of the four year plan used by most other schools. This leads to players playing earlier.

    Why hasn't Tua played in the last two games. I realize they were tough games but why not try him a series or two..Can't be any worse than jalen was at times. I mean the guy don't need to be on the bench all the time with his abilities.

    • @reppost
      @reppost 6 років тому +5

      I don't know which Jalen you were watching Saturday. What more could he have done to keep us in that game? But you answered your own question. Tough/close games aren't the time for that. Score tied with 30 seconds left against a team that played us strong all night, when exactly would you have taken your starting QB out to give the backup a few snaps?

    • @_goodwin10k73
      @_goodwin10k73 6 років тому +3

      malcolm burns When you already have a really good qb that is as cool headed as it gets, I just don't think the benefits outweigh the risk. He is definitely a better passer though I will say that, I really wish he would have been redahirted though.
