Slim Jims are actually made from honest-to-God meat. It’s crappy meat, but it’s really actual non-human meat meant for humans to eat.
The beef is made of beef from cow skulls and by-products.
The pork is mostly by-product.
The “mechanically separated chicken” is chicken melted and sieved so that the bones are separated from the “meat”.
Then the resulting chicken slurry is mixed with the processed beef and pork and put into sausage casings before being fermented.

God, Takis. I tried them for the first time this year, and after eating two I couldn't eat any more. There's so much citric acid on those things, it's just unpleasant. I was expecting a little lime to balance spice, but it's more like a little spice to insult you while five entire limes are punched into your open maw.

This reminded me that in the town I live in Mexico is right next to the US border, so we have Flamin Hot Cheetos from Mexico and the US. They both have the same name even though the Mexican ones are a lot spicier, the US ones are sweet in comparison. So what Frito-Lay did was change the Mexican hot Cheetos to "Extra Hot Cheetos", at first I thought they were a variation of the Mexican chips but no, it was just a way to make a distinction between the both Cheetos.
