Really enjoyed that! Is it possible to purchase an additional RSPdx SDRplay unit and hook both RSPdx units operating as one or configure both to work as a Radio Astronomy interferometer?
Excellent video John. Question: Have you done anything using the Diversity feature of SDRuno? I have been using the RSPduo with its two antenna ports connected through a three port low insertion loss RF coupler to a single antenna. I would like to experiment with the Diversity feature using two separately spaced HF antennas, thus my question. Thanks and keep up the great work, John. Bob KW4CQ
Hi Bob, I haven't tried recently - had some early attempts here: ua-cam.com/video/GxUOcL8Z0kA/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/q7rpHagYaqs/v-deo.html - over on the blog called "making it up", author John, VE6EY has written several articles including this one: play.fallows.ca/wp/radio/software-defined-radio/dual-antenna-spatial-filtering-really-works/ and here's ene of his demos: ua-cam.com/video/9Nf7oGZyD8U/v-deo.html Best 73, Jon G4ABQ
Thanks for the reply John. All of those demos were quite interesting and informative. In the next few days I will be putting up a second antenna and giving spatial diversity a try. It was particularly interesting to note that while the signal to noise improved with critical adjustments the desired signal did was not attenuated very much if any at all. Your results and that of John VE5EY really lit my fire. Back to work. 73 Bob KW4CQ
Was playing with the FRAN plugin and wanted to save my workspace. I am using the latest version of SDRuno (1.4.x). When I clicked on Workspace to save a workspace I designed for FRAN, the window that shows workspace files is too narrow to show the actual filenames. I tried this again without loading FRAN and same problem. I am using Windows 10. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi Tom, sorry I missed this when you posted it.... Best to contact the FRAN author: either here: github.com/LinuxSheeple-E/SDRunoPlugin_Fran/releases or via the SDRplay FB group or the SDRplayUsers Groups.io forum on groups.io/g/SDRPlayUsers/ Best 73, Jon G4ABQ
But how do you slave the second VFO to the first one when you want to compare two antennas for instance without having the hassle to tune each VFO separetely?
Thank you, I didn't realize I needed to launch a second session.
Great video, was looking for such tutorial!

I just want to figure out how to get the waterfall up.

Take a look at this video: ua-cam.com/video/drhOZPY68bI/v-deo.html
version i have does not have this option
This only works with the dual tuner RSPduo - click on "RSPduo" for more information: www.sdrplay.com/products/
no i mean in the software.. i dont have that tab@@SDRplayRSP
When will I be able to do this with my Mac?
Today, in a VM, or when SDRuno 2.0 is released.
The latest version of CubicSDR also supports dual tuner operation with the RSPduo.
ah I see, nicely done.
