For anyone asking about upgrading one of these...
I upgraded mine from:
I3 7100
4gb ram
256 kingston ssd
To:
i7 7700 with an ID cooling low profile cooler
16gb Corsair vengeance 2400mhz
1tb samsung 870 ssd
AMD RX6400 swift 105 gpu.
It runs well enough for my brother to play games at low settings, 1080p 55-60 fps. With 1% lows around the 30-40fps mark. The whole build cost around £450.
Make sure you buy a low-profile RAM kit, as it will stop the dvd drive from fitting anymore.
Excellent informative video. Perfect voice speed. Crystal clear speech and ultra clear videography. Impressive. Thank you.

I need to add a 2.5" SSD to the HP 290 G3 (i5 9500 model) that has a m.2 nvme ssd. I know there is one power supply connector and one sata connector for the optical drive. But is there a SPARE sata connector and SPARE power supply connector for a 2.5" ssd?
I've just got one of these for a home server, I don't need the DVD drive so can the DVD drive SATA power and SATA data power and additional hard drive/ SSD?

Excuse me, I want to change the cabinet, can I still change it with this plate or should I buy a new one?
+PatongoMil xd HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.

+Adalbert Ingraham You can purchase the part from here: partsurfer.hp.com/ Please select your country and enter serial or product number of your unit.
How many hard drive can I install?
Hi there, thanks for contacting HP Global Social Media Support!
I understand that you need to know about the number of hard drives you can install on your computer.
I will do my best to assist you.
If you have an HDD and an Optical drive then there is one additional SATA port that can be used. You just need to find a place to put the drive and a route to run the cables.

Can We Fit The GTX 1050TI Graphics Card In It
+Sahil Mullal I have checked and found that GTX 1050 Ti does not seems to work with this unit.
thought it had a PCIe x16 slot ?
+scottkids1This computer has PCIe x 16 (3.0) and PCIe x 1 (2.0) slots.
would a gtx 1650 low profile fit in this pc ?
+bogdan catinean This computer has (1) PCIe x 16 (3.0) and (2) PCIe x 1 (2.0) So you can add graphics card that supports these slots.
@@HPSupport Ok im gonna get that card, just wondering if the 180w power supply is gonna be enough for the 1650 and the i5-6500 with 16gb ram ddr4
The graphics card pulls 75w and the cpu 65w plus the ram and an ssd it should be fine right?
@@bogdancatinean689 Got the NVIDIA T600 for this PC, to be safe. That card is already overkill with the i5-6500 and it pulls about 40W. So if you haven't bought the 1650, I'd recommend that card.
Can be turned into a gaming pc
+Keemo Malcolm You need to upgrade the components of your PC to convert it into a gaming PC.
@@HPSupport ok thats good
