" Can't put it all together, always something going wrong somewhere" me during every round! Driver was working for you on this course. IMO, this is in the top 5 public courses on the Grand Strand, just can't beat the views. Hole #12, 200 yard Par 3 is a beauty, I just missed an Ace my last time out & settled for a super short birdie
Really enjoy your videos! Been watching these as I’m going to Myrtle next week and playing this and others that you featured, fun to get a good look at the holes!
I played this way back in 2004. They have made a lot of change since then. Played the golds at 6600 yards and had a good round of 83. I was hitting greens and fairways which will help every golfers score. Have not been back since. Tough to put 4 good rounds in a row. But hey, your are golfing in Myrtle Beach. Gotta love that! Thanks for the memories.
I live about 2 hours from MB and play there every year 8-10 rounds. Tidewater is one of the toughest courses I have played there. 95 or less from the tips isn't a bad score there. There are several holes that can eat you alive as you found out. The putting killed you or you could have easily broken 90.
Hey man, I just started watching your videos. I appreciate your candidness about your game (which is pretty impressive). I’ve been to MB numerous times and am bringing my brother down (we are from Canada) in March of 2024 for a week of golf. We are playing all 3 of the Legends course plus Heritage and Oyster Bay. We are going to play the tips at one of the courses. We enjoy doing it every now and again to see a course from different angles. What’s your favourite course in the MB area? If you haven’t yet played Caledonia, do yourself a favour and head there for a round. What a beauty.
Hey man love to hear you're enjoying! So I did do another Myrtle trip this fall (videos soon) and I think my new favorite is TPC Myrtle. Beautiful course and it's super fair. Also I really enjoyed Kings North as well from this first trip. Haven't played Caledonia yet, we got rained out this year
Was the course so busy you couldn't get a tee time earlier so you wouldn't need to rush? Seems like several channels are not planning for the sun going down on the round... I think it's easier to plan than that so you could take that worry off your plate.
I had a time share meeting I had to go to in the AM and this was actually the 2nd tee time in their afternoon block. They do double starts once in the AM and once in the afternoon at most places in Myrtle I guess. But either or it was a busy day on the course as well. 4 some in front of us was playing pretty slow as well which didn't help that final push lol
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf Sorry for being picky but your channel is labeled "Average." Then you said you shot a 75. Ummm... that is not average. LOL... just an observation. You must have shot out of your socks that day! Thanks for the video!
Man when you hit those irons well you REALLY hit them well, but you definitely have more shaping with them than previously. Distances aren’t horrible with them tho necessarily.
Yeah I also have a suspicious feeling I wasn't getting good reads either. My range finder stopped working after it got rained on in the first round lol
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf I feel it man, I have a lot of redemption in mind for when I go back to Arizona next year. I went out there 2 weeks before Christmas and just had little to none of my game prior to going out there. Mind you I’m trying to look good in front of my grandpa’s bro and his grandson who is an assistant club pro at the course we played 😅
Highly confused with driver distance. Your swing speed looks pretty high, but with yardages you were showing on screen you are only hitting 250-260 yard drives. Just looks like your speed would be producing a lot more
I wasn't getting a ton of rollout out here and it's also an area that's at, or below, sea level. My average carry these days is around 270 or so, I won't lie the distances at Myrtle were really.playing with my head though lol
Cheers man! Been putting a lot of work into it and have some new projects to tackle with it as well to try and add some speed. I need to get into a Trackman and actually see the numbers tho tbh
I've watched a few of your videos and this one felt the most relatable. Don't sweat the 90s one bit we all love to see Rick Shiels and EAL get torn up on hard courses.
Dude why make it so much harder on yourself by trying to play a tee box that’s out of your skill level why not move up a couple of tees to give yourself a better shot of shooting a good score?
Mostly because the trees had very little to do with the score, it was putting and short game at this round. Check the other Myrtle videos and you'll see

I need to come get some revenge on this course. BADLY

Ayyy love to hear it! Best of luck out there! I definitely made Tidewater way harder than it should have been, go get some revenge for me!

Yeah this course ate me up which is funny because I think I hit driver the best on this round lol

Yeah short game issues all over, that was probably one of the better driver days of the trip tbh hahaha

Keep Grindin 🏌🏿♂️⛳️👍🏾

Checking them all out now
Why isn’t your channel bigger? This is great stuff and you show a lot of courses people don’t
Hahaha idk man we're just hanging out enjoying the journey. Thanks for the support though, we'll keep chugging through!
WOW great views. It is like getting a big hunk of coal in your stocking. You must have been really notty. You got the bad boy score. Merry Christmas
Unreal views and yeah that was a big time bad boy score hahaha Merry Xmas!
Sweet intro, really stepping up your editing game. Did you drone those shots or just borrow the footage?
Found stuff on UA-cam from other groups; I think a drone of my own may be in the works though as we get into the '23 season!

Is tidewater a private course?
It is public!
Honest question, why play from tips when you aren’t at that level of ability?
Same reason Foreplay and EAL do, see what an average golfer can shoot from the tips.

Nah man, you just gotta bite the bullet and play the tips. If you suck from that distance then you just can’t play real golf. That’s the way I see it
